Me and a friend of mine rolled out to Dumont today.The road still sucks,although its not as bad as it was last time i was there.I do like how it keeps the dust down though.Anyway we got lucky with some cloud cover and a light breeze so it wasnt scolding hot.The sand was fantastic and really smooth like glass There was only a few people there.It was really quiet.Very fun daytrip.We had a great time.I heard some of you guys are going tommorow.We rode around a little and it was pretty unpredictable with sharp razorbacks and hard to read.It sure is nice though when the sand is so smooth.Here are a couple pics.

That was pretty cool and very risky................... I let my boy drive my pick up last weekend and here is what I got....

How long did it take to wash the gutters & street down

Long story short, my wife had a freind give her a jack russell, 1st week this dog chased a cat into my boat, b52 wakeboard boat & destroyed my apholstery, got up under the dash tore the wiring out & more, my wife knew to take the dog back to her freind before i got home

The dunes made dumont look like a sand box, huge dunes, dead horse bowl was a 4th gear 95 mph bowl what a rush, we didnt have to mess with carbs but the cars did run hotter than normal

not nocking dumont, i love that place on off weekends for duneing i just wish stanthony was a little closer

that aint bad at all, what time did you guy's leave and get there..I am about an hour from bakersfield, i think i need to plan a trip, what month did you go?

We left at 2am drove in at 9pm awesome run not bad at all, as soon as you get out of cali 75 plus that was great, we stayed at sandhills resort really clean, restraunt in metal building but great food, store, fuel deliverd to you at your camp site, we will be going back next year in july, & yes you need to plan a trip well worth worth it

Where did you come from when you went to Idaho? How long was the drive ..

We drove from porterville ca 1 hr no of bakersfield,19 hrs non stop but for fuel I have more pics of the dunes i have to resize ill post later the dunes were incredable nobody out ther, all to your self virgin sand you would go thru 12 to 15 gals of fuel every trip out the camp grounds full hook ups, that was real nice looooong hot showers grass & trees very nice well worth the drive & the peeps, awesome, evereybody there to help, very freindly, no stripper poles, quit time at 10 in the camp ground, A must place to go for a good time.

some stanthony pics the dunes were great the hills were huge the lake was awesome the campground was great {FULL HOOKUPS}

I run redline oil go to there web page & read there specs, i have hade great luck with it good luck.I also run a oil pump that filters the oil as well as dumps the oil on top of the gears for better lubrication.Redline heavy duty shock proof oil.

How was the weather Saturday?

The weather was perfect, little cool & windy in the am but by noon shorts & t shirt the dunes were bit$en big rasors & smooth, went to the top of comp about 2 oclock & counted 11 riders in the dunes & 35 at the hill great trip. :freakin_nuts:

Hey X5 what would you do if you had a tweeker in your camp

I friggen hate tweekers im sure you have employed a few like i have there peaces of sh$$ like firepole said you can spot them a mile away, so to answer your ? they wouldent be in my camp

Imagine that - A tweeker in the dunes. They would have no time to ride cause they would have to fix everything. Then start shining particles of sand.......

Hay foxychick whats up your a$$ the dude is just trying to see if some one going to man up, alot of people read this site not just members! hay co-driver you can accidently drive thru my camp any time with that trick racer, alot of people think just because you have a long travel your an a$$ hole, its the dip sh@$ that ride there bikes or quads thru someones camp haulen a$$ that pi$$ me off or any body haulen a$$ near any camp sucks.

For some reason i cant seem to get the video of the rad dirt bike jump, we were jumping that hill with our rails & then my kid started jumping it on his crf 450 (insane jumping) :no_no: Not fun for dad to watch but would like to watch the vidio, if its him. B)

That sucks! I will keep an eye out for that car even if they change the paint, green shocks will stand out or mayby post some pics of the interior.
