  2. UNBELIEVEABLE!

This just shows how out of touch our politicians are!

This recession doesn't mean a thing to them; they just keep spending our money, and making regulations like this to force us to spend more, on things like heating.

I'm boiling with them(CARB) over their new diesel requirements. In the trucking industry, we'll have to retrofit every truck in our flleet with particulate filters on the exhaust, retroactive for every year of truck on the road in CA. Not only will that kill longevity, squash fuel economy, but force many small business owners out of business. Each retrofit can cost around 10k per vehicle. I'm looking at spending 50k to conform, and then hope to recover those costs in a economy that is already suffocating me. I'd be better off to close my business.

Some may see good in these kind of regulations, but I ask, if every other state isn't keeping them, much less every other country, don't they think the wind patterns of this planet will just cycle that pollution back around. I mean, the world is a sphere :beercheers: :rant_on:

Why is CA working so hard, at destroying the economy for businesses, for us off-roaders, etc. :ahhhhh:

California will become a welfare state dependant on other staes for money. With all the stupid laws in this state I am suprised there is any industry at all. More and more companies every day are vacating California because of buiness related expenses. Here's to the California politicians. :laughoff:

  3. They can't do it because it is a privacy act violation. I agree it should be done. I also believe they should put some of the able body people to work picking up trash on the highway or some other jobs that need to be done. Make them earn their pay like everyone else.

Here's a little story for you.

I work for the federal government as a heavy mobile equipment mechanic. The vehicles I work on are track vehicles that weigh 27 tons. One of the idiots that works with me is taking maximum dosages of Oxycoton and Percaset(sp) 6 times a day. You would think this would be something you could protest to as a safety issue. NOT SO! It's a privacy act issue. Can you say lawsuit waiting to happen? :rzr:

  4. may I make a suggestion?

I think you need to ditch the spindle mounts asap. the car looks great, I just dont want you gettin hurt! i have seen spindle mounts blow right off on midtravel cars. with the speed you will be able to reach with that car and the new suspension. it might be wise to go with a cheap hub just for added strength. you dont need to go tatum or jamar, just get a hub that will fit that. you can sometimes find cut down drums that work just as good!

    great build should be fuN!

That makes no sense. Spindle mount wheels mount the same way as hubs. If you want beadlocks or brakes that's a different story. I have NEVER had a bit of problems with my wheels at all.

  5. What is needed to take an LS1 out of a car and put it in a sandrail? What needs to be done to the motor to get it ready to put in? Is there any company out there that can prep my motor? Thanks

  6. I bought this quad. It didn't need a motor. Just changed the plugs. Suzuki never did make a 750 but a virtually unknown company, SAZUKI, did. This quad is the fastest and smoothest quad I've ever rode. Jumped over my house without even using a ramp and felt like I landed on a pillow. What's even cooler is the way the controls are setup my dogs can drive it. It gives a new meaning to dune dog. :slap:
