looks like i am gearing up for a trip next weekend. ( 20&21st ) need to finish my break in hours on both our quads. uugggh i dearly dislike the breakin period.

glad Cody is ok. i was sitting in camp and saw the bike come back on the truck and new something was amiss. thats when Andrew filled me in on what happened. looks like the big man upstairs was looking down on this one.

again thanks a bunch bob for having us out. it was truly a great weekend. major props to your son for not losing his balls for riding. cant wait to see him pulling wheelies on the sand again. :beer_bang:

where is that located?? i would like to go there just to camp. its sooooo purty.

Or someone to bring out empty rv's and rent beds to homeless duners

thats funny. i actually thought of that a couple weeks ago.

my buddies grandma lives up there, so we park there, ride off erskin creek (spelling?) trail, or we go up cooks peak, now thats a blast, and there is no other rush going 4/5 gear pinned, sideways around a corner with a thousand foot drop 3 inches away lol.... then we will go hit up the track that is over by the trap shooting range, thats fun, and we also ride right on the lake shore, over by where the river comes in, its sand over there with tiny tiny dunes lol, its pretty fun, wide open spaces for wheelies for ever! some jumps too

been going to dove spring for years live just down the road.

well hot dang. we need to hook up for a ride!!!!! want to go out this weekend, but the hauler is in the shop. might head out there for a day trip.

btw i would like to add the dune rat is one heck of a camphost also......big thanks for last year. need to hook up again!

late chiming in. got swamped when i got back.

observations:

1. trying to get there a day early didnt work well for me this time. darn wind!

2. bob is sincerely one of the best camphosts around, that being said, i would like to put my ongoing reservation from here on out.

3. when someone brings you a battery, INSTALL IT. dont try to get the non working battery, to work.

4. sobe bombs are way cool.

5. BP Guy has the job i wanna get.

6. do not eat a wonderful home cooked meal before meet and greet.

7. do not try to keep up with pete and the crew on a fast ride, with a standard travel. thank goodness my carbs decided to suck some sand and i pulled off.

8. internet connection out at the dunes, rocks!

well, thats about it. want to say big thanks to bob, tim, chris, james and the entire crew that camped with us. thats my kinda camping. :beer_bang:

sorry we didnt get to meet up this time pete. my car was too busy trying to eat sand. i saw you swing around my camp on sunday. already had my car on the hauler, and was inside having some private time with the lady. next time for sure. :mc_smiley:

ok then...here ya go.

wind died down last night around 9pm. just a very light breeze. very nice!!!! just got back from a ride, pete and his crew came over to bobs and our camp. so we headed out. me and my standard travel didnt have a chance with those guys. i was able to keep up with them till about half way through the dunes. then my engine started missing, so i decided to peel off and take the flats back. well, turns out that might have been a good idea. was sitting in camp when bob came back. he said "Sand Snake" took a bad spill, cracked his frame, and rung his bell pretty good. he is OK. sounds like the car isnt.

its about as good as weather you could ask for. dont even need to run the AC.

ok, thats about it for now. i will check back in later.
