  1. Fortin 5 speed currently set-up for 930 CV’s. I bought this through John at RC Trans in Las Vegas last summer. He replaced the R&P and 5th gear. Everything thing else was in excellent condition. I had Fortin open it up to verify and it was as John said, perfect.

    Gear Ratio’s:

    R&P: 4.37

    1st: 3.23

    2nd: 2.50

    3rd: 1.76

    4th: 1.58

    5th: 1.33

Includes Fortin shifter, 934 CV flanges, slave cylinder, and another near new/verified good ring & pinion (for mid engine 4.86).

All is in working order but 2nd gear should be replaced. I am local to Fortin and could drop it off for you to be repaired.

Reduced to $8000 OBO (open to offers!) with the extra’s listed. May also included an Earls oil cooler with the lines.

Call Mike in East San Diego: 619-867-4730

  2. Intercom and a car to car radio was the best upgrade I ever did. I have used it for some many purposes and it has saved my a$$ more than once.

I put a new/used motor in my car and still ironing out some minor bugs. Going to test some different types of lights next weekend. New red powder coat on the bead lock rings.

  3. I'm running a 6 puck 9" with a stage 3 on a turbo Honda.

You could also call Don at SCU. Just keep your question brief :)

Note: an 8" will fry after a trip or 2 if running a 9" pressure plate. No need to ask how I know ;)

  4. Defiantly the best upgrade I have done in my car. Has saved me numerous times.

Look into the Yeasu FT2800M radio. It cheaper ($150ish) and has more power than any of the offroad radio shops can sell you. And it easily connects to any intercom system. Only down side is it's slightly bigger than the standard icom's etc. Easy to program if you buy the program kit or have anyone to 'clone' it from.

  5. I posted this on GD.com and sandbros.com (forums) but figured you'd all get a kick out of it ;)

Went to the dunes (Glamis, what other dunes are there ;) ) this past weekend for the 2nd annual Sand Cars Unlimited Regatta. I was taking some photo's of the group of cars and had asked DoubleTrouble (from the glamisdunes.com forums) to do a few wheelies in front of the group so I could get an 'action group' shot. After a wheely or 2 going one way, he decides to go the other way. Picture me crouched down in a picture taking position with the camera aimed at where the action is going to be so I can be ready. I hear him coming behind me, leaving the camera in the same position, I turn my head to see him at full throttle coming right at me. I think do I run like a little girl or do I stay and hope for the best. I decide to stay, put my eye back on the camera view finder, and watch DoubleTroubles a$$ end of his car sliding about 4 feet from the tip of my lens. I click the below pic, DT mashes the GO pedal :dunno: , I start to turn away, click another blurry pic, then go into a fetal position to try and protect my camera like a mother protecting her youngin's from a fierce lion. Just as I turn away I proceeded to receive a 600HP sand enema that damn near knocked me over and lasted a good 15-20 seconds. Was it worth the shot? Hell yeah! And the camera is recovering just fine :)

Here is the shot I got:

And these were taken by Casey from Sand Addiction magazine who was standing a few feet behind me.

Notice the tips of the flags in these pic's. And I am in the middle of this roost:
