  1. There is a VIBE in Dumont. You guy from ultra Chill to Mega Thrill just 5 mins outta camp.

Camps are mellow and fun at night, we always get visitors from next door etc, have beers, chat and such. Never had a bad camping experience in the D.

Riding is EPIC, but be on your toes, Razors edge bite hard if they catch you slipping.

Watching my kids have a blast in the mall duns and going to the historical site are great fun for them and me.

I will go to Dumont anytime I can, there are never any "Ugh, maybe not THIS weekend because it's X,Y, or Z weekend.".

I have a Half ton GMC Sierra with a 6.0 would it be able to pull this? Thanks

My 3/4 2500HD with 4.10 gears and 6.0 gas could.....but would struggle when fully loaded with all the toys and water. Going up the 15 El Cajon pass really sucks and will be pinned at 45-50 mph up the hill....God Forbid there is any stop and go traffic and I lose my momentum......and then the down grade? ugh.

Your truck should not really try to pull this TH around.

I'm sorry, just giving first hand advice, I myself would love a TH like this with all that wonderful space. Not trying to derail a for sale topic.

I can tell you that anyone who regularly comes to this site would "be honest", I can also tell you that regulars here prob make up less than 2% of the people out there this last weekend. Cheers

Yup, Forum Duners tend to be THE BEST types of folks willing to help you out online and in the dunes.

Richard died at the scene do to serious injury's.  Such a shame his life ends so early, but on to the next chapter he must go.

He has been my friend(family) my entire life,  and I will miss him tremendously.  My greatest memories as a kid were chasing rabbits in Delamar and camping with Rich and my dad.  My heart goes out to his family, so sorry for your lost .  J.S .

    Sorry for your loss.

    Hate to hear these stories.

    No, not required.

    AB1595,

"Helmets must be worn by all operators and passengers in side x sides 1000cc or less".

    https://www.dumontduneriders.com/rules/

    Correct.

Helmets are NOT required for any Sand Rails, Sand Cars, Buggies or such type vehicles.

SxS's, UTV's and ROHV's are the OHV Classification that the 1000cc law applies to, not Buggies.
