See what happens when your nice to people, You get f'd. Ive been pretty cool with people out in the dunes. So Ive thought. Ive let people stay in my hauler, given people rides in my car, let people eat my food and drink my beverages. And this is how they say thank you. It amazes me how people dont appreciate it. This last trip, a few people that went for rides in my car, got out, didnt say thank you. Didnt fasten there seat belts back up and left the belts hanging outside against the paint,and actually left there empty beer cans in my seat pockets!!!! Im over it! I am taking the rear seat belts out of my car so noone can ride with me anymore. And whoever STOLE my shiat....... Your a scumbag. You will get what you have comming to you.

That sucks thats the kind of luck I have. I had some people who I was camping with leave me out in the duners over night (thought they were my friends) after I fixed one of the guys trucks that I had to climb up a sand dune to do. On top of that my back was hurt from the quad and it was hard to just move around...and thats how they all re-paid me, by leaving me and 3 girls stuck for 9 hours before a stranger came and pulled us out. What really sucked is when I got pulled out I found out the intake on my blazer colapsed and it had about 1 1/2 inches opening to get air. That was a trip from hell (also blew the trans up trying to get un-stuck). But good luck getting your stuff back!

In our camp, we had a cousin Eddie MH, a 12' enclosed trailer with an inflatable mattress, Porta-poti, and a 12v heater, Tents, a High end MH, and your average THs. Sure, some "class" jokes were shot around the campfire. But the company was the best. No one gave a Rat's azz about the living quarters everyone had. They were there. They brought good times. Nothing else mattered.

Man thats high-class to me. One day ill graduate to an enclosed trailer...lol

I agree. We used to camp in a 77 chevy long bed lifted 4x4 with a few spots of primer on it that had a overhead camper that was early 70's pulling two fairly new raptors. If thats not red-neck I dont know what is. But i do know when the wind storm hit everyone in tents wanted to come inside LOL!

Anyone do december trips other than new years?? Im thinking about trying to go sometime in early december, then again on new years.

i believe james started his boy on the quad at 3 or 4 he had to put it in third and then take off cause he was to small to shift it :beer_bang: he had to stand up to ride it was great and he rides every where pinned a lil animal hes 6 now and starting to learn gears lol love that kid hes somthing else you got good times ahead of you

I always rode with my dad as a LITTLE kid. When I was in 2nd grade I got my first bike, a XR80. I wasnt big enough to reach the ground when I took off so dad held me up to take off and I just let the bike fall to get off of it. We used to leave from our house to ride in the local foothills so there were many times I had to get creative if i fell down LOL. I got my son his first bike just the other day (other than his electric wal-mart raptor) but its still kind of big for him so I might try to trade it for a suzuki 50 or something. I plan on him learning to ride the same way! He already has no fear of speed or noise from the bike. My bike has a lrd pro-4 so its not quiet and he loves it.

Well hes only 2 1/2 so we have alot more crashes to come, I can see that already. I rode bmx bikes for years. That actually hurt me worse than any atv ever did. But ive had broken bones, stitches, cuncusisons so its nothing new to me. My last crash was about 8 months ago and it hurt pretty bad, over the bars pinned in 4th off a jump. Ripped my boots right off my feet, then only to hobble back to the truck to find out that i locked my keys and my friends keys in the truck..talk about a bad day. Glad to hear your kid is ok, I was just reading that a few minutes ago!

Got his first trip to the ER for x-rays. I guess he likes to race everyone around the playground and doesnt like not being in the front (the teacher actually told us that). Took a corner too fast and down he went. Sprained his wrist was about it but his little hand was all swollen up. Im scared when he gets turned loose on his first quad, that kids fearless. Made his dad proud though lol.

Damn, you fellas got me thinking Dove springs instead of Dumont on the 26th. Can only go for a night so it is more attractive than paying $30 for a week and all the gas. Might wait and plan a longer Dumont trip and then buy an annual pass. Thanks for the new option as I have not been to either.

Thats the weekend were going to jawbone canyon. Ive never actually camped at dove springs I hear theres alot of rangers there....we usually try to avoid those guys

WHere in isabella do you ride at? Ive always wanted to go riding up there but I wouldnt know where to park. Ive rode up greenhorn area since I was a kid. We used to park at the bottom of rancheria road then ride all the way to tobias. I remember riding back in the snow one time...i had 5 inches of snow on my arms and couldnt hardly move I was so cold

We camp on jawbone canyon road just north of dove springs. You cant miss it, there is 4 bilboard signs that are the only ones on that road. Look for the fireworks or the VW blocks burning, thats usually us. Last time i was out there I found a road that goes straight to a bar in inyo kern. Im thinking Ill ahve to start a new tradition and ride the quad down there

Im counting down...2 1/2 weeks were making the first trip of the year. Ive got work to do to all of my toys, lol. Just got a badger i need to put valves in, new oil tank on the raptor then new master cylinder and carb for the vw. Should be fun, we have some good fireworks too =)

While everyone is out riding....im stuck in town, working the night shift on top of that But its over time so it could be alot worse. im counting down...3 weeks and im going to the desert to ride and drink my self stupid (shouldnt take much) for a few days.

Where are you riding out by Mesa Marin? Since they closed it and leveled the ground we started just going out to Taft for day trips but if there is still somewhere to ride out there that would be closer than Taft.

alot of people sitll ride out there as long as you stay away from the houses you are ok. there was prob 100+ people out there on sunday. we were supposed to go out to valley acres but the guy i went with was slow and we didnt get to leave untill noon, since it was the wifes b-day i had to be home early by 6 or so..

I am alittle late with this but, I got that email last year so I would be cheating. I would like to have that poster in my gargage just as a conversation piece.

Well I forgot all about this! lol. well maybe i can make the next one, I told the wife I wanted her and the kid to go but sunday I went out riding out by the old mesa merin and by the time afternoon came I was already 10+ beers down lol. I had a good time riding, got to put some 450 guys in there place with a raptor. The best part was this guy telling me "you cant make a raptor fast" then I beat him 6 out of 6 times on the drags. I love it. I was supposed to have some videos but the camera operator did everything backward, he stoped the video at the start and restarted it at the end. After that no one wanted to play anymore =(

The bad thing is i started it.

Thats nice, except they cheated they have fans other stuff. Some of our fires we get 15-20 ft flames with just gas/oil/aresol cans/VW blocks and anything else we can find
