  1. Who the F*** ever said it was an attack? I sure didn't! For f***'s sake, I'm sooooo done with this site.
  2. I'm not the owner, a vendor, I'm not anyone! I just thought I'd be nice and share with DDR what I found! The gentleman who owns the concession told me that Starbucks RARELY allows concessions like his to advertise and prepare their products, but has permission from them to do so, and has had barista training as well. Sound to me like you're a bit biased about coffee, and that's your right. As far as the other issues, take it up with the concession owners, or Starbucks, not me. That's why I rarely post on this forum, because it seems unless you're a 'regular' or one of the 'in' crowd, BIG BROTHER tries to shut you down in a nanosecond. noone@nothing.com
  3. I wanted to show some love and let everyone know that J & L Concessions is proudly serving Starbucks Coffee, including Mochas, Fraps, Lattes, etc. J &L is the third vendor in on the left side as you come into Vendor's Row. Just look for the Starbucks banner on their shop (the shop is small). They also have BREAKFAST available in a variety of items, and for lunch or dinner, the polish sausage is the bomb! So stop by and say hi to this Mom & Pop run place, really nice folks, and try the DEEP FRIED APPLES! You'll be hooked!!!!
  4. The same day I emailed mauishower.com, I received this email in return: I have spoken to my driver. He has been warned. If you have any other problems, please call me direct. Tim Watts President/CEO Maui Mobile Companies Maui Shower, LLC Maui Mobile Suites 12223 Wood Lake Drive Burnsville, MN 55337 952-641-6000 (O) 612-619-0289 © www.mauishower.com I'm not rude unless it's called for and even then, I just mostly shake my head and leave. So, I would imagine he changed his tune because he was TOLD to, or he could have just been having a bad day. Nonetheless, I'm glad your showers worked out well. I would like to hear any other experiences anyone had as well.
  5. So I saw the Maui Showers rig on Vendor's Row this afternoon. There sure isn't much parking if they plan on being busy. And the stairs going in and out of the showers take you right down into the dirt, no mat, fake grass, rug, nada. Based on the attitude of the large dude attendant, you could have given me unlimited time in a hot tub and I won't bother to give them my business this weekend. I've used a similar service at LVMS in Vegas during a NASCAR weekend once, and it was cool. I went over to ask a couple questions. I see a dry erase board that says "$6.00 for 5 minutes". I explained to him that the Dumont Dune Riders site said something about special pricing, like $20 or $25 for the weekend, and thought it said the price included soap, towel, shampoo, and conditioner. They guy said "I DON'T KNOW WHO THE F**K PUT THAT UP THERE, I knew someone was gonna come asking about it. The price is $6 for 5 minutes, and that doesn't include anything. Some woman named 'Shower Queen' put that up and I don't know who she is." I didn't even bother to ask if towels, etc. were available, cuz the guy was rather a d*ck about all of it. saywha.gif I'm guessing it's only $6 this weekend based on what the website said, cuz it looks like it was erased and changed to a '6' from something else. Oh, and btw, the hours are from like 6am (don't quote me on that) to around 9pm (that's what the guy said anyhow). Then a couple comes driving up in their Ranger, like down to the end of the truck's rear end near the last stall, and the guy goes "Were the hell do they think they're going?" They turned around and came back and the man wanted to take a shower. He made some stupid comment about the guy stinking, and that's when I'd had enough. I asked him if he owned the company and he said no. Thank goodness. So there ya go, in a nutshell. You decide whether or not to use their services.
  6. It stopped raining for a bit and we went out for a ride. The damp sand was the bomb, and really fast. Says it's 48 out right now, winds prolly 15mph now.......not too bad out. Gonna try and get one more ride in before it gets too dark.............
  7. Been some sprinkles out here on & off, and the wind has kicked up hella good. Weather.com says winds are at 18mph, but feels like steady 20mph gusting to 25 the way our rig is rockin'. It's about 49 out right now, not too , but has been raining the past 15 minutes. Temp has dropped 5 degrees since rain started too. But you know what they say: Worst day at Dumont better than any day at home......!!!!! I can update later is you'd like.......
  8. Been some sprinkles out here on & off, and the wind has kicked up hella good. Weather.com says 18mph, but I think it's steady 20 gusts to 25+ the way our rig is rockin'. Visibility is not so hot.....it's about 53 out right now, not , but starting to rain a bit. But you know what they say: Worst day at Dumont better than any day at home......!!!!!
  9. We had a Super Duty not too long ago, and someone tried to rip it off right from our driveway. Thank goodness they were unsuccessful. But, for those of you that have them, or any make for that matter, look into Jimmie Jammers. They are plates you can install behind the door lock mechanism so they can't get in (well barring breaking the window). They do work.
  10. I too see a lot of kids with no skill whatsoever driving rhinos & razrs. It's amazing what parents will let their kids do these days. But these are prolly the ones sitting back at camp getting drunk, then go out riding later. Go figure.
  11. Wow, I haven't ever done business with NV ORB, but won't now. Has anyone else had problems there besides this OHV sticker purchase issue?
  12. We're not new to riding but pretty new to Dumont. It's a wonderful atmosphere. The first time we actually came out with our toy hauler, I was hooked, which was Halloween '06. Been a few times since. Getting a motorhome for T-Day, and we're counting the days til we head on out! We were all young once, and did stupid stuff. But leaving your trash behind to burn and pollute the very environment and land that the government is trying to close and prevent us from duning on is SHAMEFUL! Right on :afro: !!!! I give thanks for the DDR peeps who had a pair, stepped up, and did something about it! We will try and be vigilant like that as well. Like everyone else said, those azzhats DID get what they deserved! Looking forward to chillin' w/ y'all for T-Day week! Happy Thanksgiving Y'all!!!
  13. Glad to hear you're doing so much better, Charlie. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. I don't want to stray off topic, but I am curious: if anyone who knows will PM me reference if they have spoken to the other driver yet. Thank You. Charlie, perseverance, man---you can do it! You'll be looking like this  in no time.
