  1. I got some tires for my sons blaster. But don't know what rim size too buy for them. They are 20x11x8

    20= Tire Height

    11= Tire Width

    8= Rim Height

    Go with an 8x8

I don't know what the bolt pattern is for a blaster

  2. no...im talkin TEAM SPORTS....that looks like it would be used in individual sports...

    :shocked2:

Actually you can get it in handcrank, 110V or 220V. So it could be a "team sport".

The Dumont version actually has the option of a twin 350 out of a Banshee ported, polished and piped or a VW powerplant. Run the NOS and it's ready to roll.

I wonder if we'll see this at comp next year???? :laughoff:

Funny thing is, we're still on topic here. "Cool things to add to your RV" :dunno:

  3. post-4248-1208191848_thumb.jpg

    Lite weights.

Triple Tap Beverage Air. Holds 4, 5 gallon kegs (that's roughly 66 glasses per keg) Set at about 39 degrees (just a tad less than iced beer) Fits right inside my WW. Take note of the casters (portable). Outside or in still pours it ice cold. 4 different beers depending on how I feel or what runs out.

That's a beer pic (especially at the river) I just wish I could figure out a way to mount it on the Seadoo for Sandbar.:dunno::laughoff: :shocked2:

  4. Being a Real Estate Appraiser here in So. Cal we are definitley feeling the pinch.

I'm right with ya, and when I do get an appraisal, the value just isn't there. People are losing $20K a month and lenders are being stingy. So Cal is hammered.

  5. I wish I would get something other than,How to clean your colon, find your perfect mate, work from home and the list can go on. :beercheers::ban-split: :rant_on: :undecided:

Consider yourself lucky, I get at least one a day telling me my junk is too small and I can't satisfy anybody but myself so I need magic pills or rub. Talk about destroying ones self esteem:)

  6. I get those all the time. Damn funny.

FYI people need to watch themselves out there with emails and stuff. I had an incident a few years ago where somebody wanted to buy a Banshee I was selling and wanted me to ship it overseas. They sent me a check and everything. Something didn't jive so I took it to my bank to have them verify the check. BOGUS.

Anyway long story short, Russian mob deal. I started receiving threatning phone calls asking where the quad and $$$ were. I also received some letters. I ended up contacting the FBI and having them come out to my place and discuss it with me. They offered me "protection" (call us if you need us). I ended up answering the door with a gun in my hand for about 3 months till I figured nothing was going to happen. Scared the crap out of some Mormons.

Watch you back and if something doesn't seem right, leave it alone

  7. So, Do they put the tire into a vacuum before they put the nitrogen in to remove all oxygen? If not, your getting screwed!

They have some special machine to do it, Haven't been out back to check it out yet, so I don't know. I get it done for free and so far they have maintained the pressure on my vehicles.

  8. The write ups on the KTM's seem very good. If you got $9K to blow on a quad I'm sure you would not be disappointed.

Bang for $$$. I love my Predator 500's. Suspension and HP. Never had any problems. I've owned a lot of Hondas and a couple of Yamahas. All good bikes. Honestly you can't go wrong with either one of them. The main reason I went with the Predator's is because $$ for $$ you get more. Stock suspension blows stock Honda and Yamaha away. The engine can lug or fly up any hill around. Very well balanced for jumping. The only downside I've found is lack of aftermarket go fast parts. Which is fine for now. I've piped, jetted and put the K&N in it and I can keep up with or beat most Raptors and other quads that have had a couple of thousand dollars in mods done.

Bottom line, Predator's (now called Outlaw 525) are great right out of the box and are about $500-$1500 less than the others. The Honda and Yamaha 450's are great rides, The Raptor is a great ride. All of them need some mods to be better.

  9. :ban-split:

They are only banned from being manufactured. You can still have those memories and buy one.

Yeah but finding a 22+ year old three wheeler in good shape??? I've still got a 1982 185S. nobody makes an intake boot for it so it's been held together with duct tape for the past 8 years.

I just know that growing up in the dunes made a lot of memories. I hate to see memories that could have been never take place because a ride gets a bad rep. The Rhinos, like all other offroad vehicles serve a gateway to that purpose. I don't have one but I do see the ability to use them for fun and good times with the family. It looks to be a good affordable ride for people that want to seat 2-4 people and cruise around but don't have the $$$ or space for a buggy. It would be a shame to see a few idiots create legislation that would ban these vehicles.

Just out of curiosity, do the Rhino's have the idiot stickers posted all over them like quads do? I'm sure they do and they probably have owners manuals that warn of the dangers. Maybe somebody should teach those idiots that roll things how to read. I've never read my warning stickers or manual but, apperently I'm gifted or something and I know what pain a vehicle can inflict by looking at it and the do's and dont's when turning in the sand or climbing steep hills.

  10. Stop it your making me feel old!!!!!

    j/k

I crashed my dad's john deer and he beet my a$$!! Is that good enough parenting for you???

    :ban-split:

:shots: When I was your age, They didn't have these fancy quads with all that suspension, we just had our big fat paddle tires (my first ride was a 1972 90cc). Man I'd love to buy another one of those for the "camp drunk bike" Most people have never even seen let alone ridden one of those. Rode the piss out of it all over Glamis when I was 8. Than when I was 12, I moved up to the 185S, than a 200X than the 250R. All ATC's and I crashed every one of them. Never made a nickle because my old man raised me to realize if I screw up and crash, it was my fault. Now it's just memories because some fking losers sued the manufacturers and they banned them. Stand up for your Rhinos and don't let these pricks make them go the way of the 3 wheelers. Certainly don't raise your kids to blame others for stupid mistakes they make.

Crashed his John Deer? I hope he left a mark

    JK

  11. Here is one of the links. There is a ton of these if you type "Yamaha Rhino Lawsuit" in your search engine.

    http://www.yamaharhinorolloverandrecall.com/lawsuit.php

Please take note of some of the complaints

    "12 year old driving"

"The husband turned at the crest of a dune"

I've personally witnessed a few rollovers, all of which involved somebody who didn't have a clue as to how the vehicle handles and what it's capabilities are.

    :ban-split: Morons

If I owned a Rhino, I'd be contacting Yamaha and asking them if they need some witnesses for the case to prove that these deaths and accidents are caused and involve people that shouldn't be allowed to procreate.

I would also be calling these  lawyers and letting them know that their clients are incompetent and caused their own dismay.

If you know somebody that is involved in one of these lawsuits, commence the beatings.

Keep in mind, lawsuits are ammunition to close down the dunes because "we are distructive and risk the lives of ourselves and others" according to the bark eaters. Anything they can use, they will

  12. I know there are some old farts out there who have been riding just as long as me (1978) or longer. As I'm taking a lunch break watching Amazing Videos, a commercial comes on for "If you or a loved one has been involved in a Yamaha Rhino roll over accident and have been injured or killed, call :shots::thumb:.

Now, does this remind anybody of the banning of ATC's in 1986. I rode and have owned numerous ATC's and yeah, I've crashed but due to my own stupidity. Now unless something is drastically faulty that causes Rhino's to flip on their own, WTF is going on. Society has lost it once again. "It's not my fault, it must be the machine"

I've never owned a UTV or driven in one but I am able to tell by watching others that they are not the most stable of vehicles and that alot of the people that own them go up things that probably shouldn't. I'm not knocking that, just pointing out facts. However you get your "cheeks to slam shut" is cool. However, if your going to flip it and turn around and sue somebody, sue your parents for not instilling a certain amount of common sense in you when you were younger. Don't blame the machine for your short comings. There are plenty of people that ride their Rhinos and have fun and they shouldn't have to be punished and unable to buy one because they ban them just like they did the ATC's.

For those of you that have been hurt or know somebody that has been hurt, I'm sorry if this offends you, but can you seriously blame the Manufacturer???

I'm just ranting because I am so tired of watching people not take responsibility for their own actions and ruining things for others. I was pissed when they banned 3 wheelers. I loved my '86 250R and would have loved to seen what they would be doing today if they were still made. It's too bad we can't buy a 2008 thumper or 2 stroke 3 wheeler because too many people blamed the machine.

Mark my words, if people sue, they will ban them or the manufacturers will stop making them because they are "unsafe", not "operator error" :ban-split: lawyers, and anybody that uses them for personal gain and financial compensation because of their lack of common sense.

  13. Nothing beats a good BBQ. Problem is, can't find anybody that can do it better than me :laughoff:

They opened up a Lucilles around here and I tried it twice. something different each time. Ribs once and the tritip sandwich. Not even close to worth the $$$$. Claim Jumper, Nah. Dave's, don't know where there is one in the OC. Wood Ranch is alright for the tri-tip. Tony Roma's :laughoff: Erics Rib house in San Diego (used to be) had great onion baskets.

    Secrets to great BBQ

Hickory or apple smoke combo of chips and chunks

Tri-tip and Baby backs must be smoked for at least 4-6 hours indirect heat 180-220.

Pulled pork= 5 lb+ bonless pork butt smoked for at least 6-8 (depending on your smoker) hours, put in crockpot with 1 cup apple juice for 6-8 hours. Remove from crockpot and drain. Best BBQ sauce for pulled pork= Bone Suckin' Sauce (can be bought at BBQ Galore or on line). 1 jar per 2 lbs pork stir into pork after drained. Best served on hawaiian rolls or potato rolls. Guarenteed you will not find better pulled pork at any restaurant if you try this receipe.

If you are taking the pork to the desert or river, it reheats perfectly in Micro or pan.

I personally have about 4 pulled pork and 8 different ways to do babybacks. 5 different ways for tri-tip. 10 ways to BBQ chicken, 4 bean recipies and 4 coleslaw recipies. 6 different sauces or glazes and 7 dry rubs. Oh and beer batter onion rings and seasoned steak fries are a must with any BBQ.

  14. I just got a new fuel sock for the fill station on the toy hauler. This should keep the debris out of the pump. :flatbiller:

Looks like you had to zoom in too. :poke: How big is the sock, 4" :poke:, I see it's reusable, do you need to turn it inside out every other use to keep it clean :poke:

And to think, people told me they wouldn't buy that kinda stuff from women in lingerie at Dumont and here you are saying it's the best thing you've ever bought :argue:

  15. They've been doing that for years. A lot of the rides that are stolen in Glamis end up as runner vehicles. If you've lost a ride out there you might want to find out where the confiscated vehicles end up.

All they need to do is put a few Marines out in the dunes to practice desert training with live ammo like they did a few years ago down in San Diego. End of problem.
