  1. Geez, it never ends. I have to vent some more. Today was our 6 visit for child support. The state is doing such a wonderful job of collecting and adjustments we get to go back every 3 months. For some reason she never bothers to show up but I guess because the last time the judge said he would issue a bench warrent if she didn't appear, so she came today. Oodles of joy. The Lies continue. She has been collecting unemployment for 18 months and has no luck finding a job even though she is looking everyday. She has 1 room mate that she remembered ( I confirmed with the judge she has 2 and she finally admitted it) however she only gets $400 per month per room in a huge house (funny everybody else in the area gets at least $600-800) Oh and they use $150 in electricity. There is ever so much more but the best part was, after we walked out of the courtroom (not the court house) her genious new husband decided he wanted to get in a fight right outside in the hall. You guys have no idea how hard it was to turn around, go tell the officer and request his assitence. The husband boogied before the officer and I got into the hall. Then I saw them outside and I just had to walk by and see if I could get another response from Dummy. I got it and told the officers in the courtyard that "he is threatening me" In a way, I feel good that I stepped up and did the right thing and requested officer assistence. I would love to see the little pecker making new friends in a 12 X 8 cell. If I was to take the guy out, I would probably lose the kids. However, bieng a man, and a discharged member of the USMC Security Force Battalion. It was one of the hardest things I've had to walk away from and tell. By the way, he thinks I'm a . I do have a reason for sharing this. Guys, protecting your dignity and manhood only goes so far. There is a time and a place for everything. In a courthouse is not the place. And if you are in public, there will be witnesses. Patience is a must when it comes to the idiots in life. Payback is a MOFO
  2. Time and patience are on my side. It may be when she is on her deathbed from old age but, I will have payback. What really scares me is that it seems to me that this kind of situation is commonplace in today's society. People can just about get away with anything with little or no consequences. I dunno, I've always tried to be a stand up guy and do the right thing. I don't cheat, lie or steal and I don't tolerate people that do. Seems to me people really think that the way to get ahead in life, feel good and make the most $$ is by screwing somebody else. I guess that is part of the joy about divorce, contemplating how to make somebody else miserable. I just prefer to ignore her and pretend she doesn't exist. She spends her day figureing out ways to "get even" for me getting the kids I assume. But she did that to herself. Heck the only reason I believe she wanted them was so she wouldn't have to pay child support (which she dodges anyway) Oh well, I guess I get to go out to the river. To bad I can't stay and play.
  3. Now I'm not one to post personal issues on the internet, however I figure there are probably some good stories out there that might make me get over my own issues. Here's a little story that I'm sure somebody will say "been there done that" Today I received a phone call from a repo guy in Havasu. Apperently he had picked up my Warrior this morning from my summer storage site and needs me to come get my stuff out of it. Now times have been a little tight lately and I knew I was 2 months behind but I was working with the bank and they were helping me out. So, hmmm, I never knew that it was in a repo status. So I did some research and talked to the bank. Apperently my X had called the bank a few months ago and changed my contact address and phone #. When I was speaking with the bank myself, I had initiated the phone calls so I had no idea that they had the wrong contact info and they never said anything other than "we will work it out" So moving on here, the bank told me they had tried to contact me numerous times and that the person on the other end had told them to go screw themselves and they would never see a dime. So on the 8th of this month they called the X again and she told them once again "i'm not paying and the trailer is in storage at Blah Blah Blah so go and get the thing, I don't care" Well guess what, they did. Then they called her up to come and get the all the toys out of it and she politely gave them my # as contact for that. So now I get to try and expalin this situation to the bank, I'm sure they've heard it all. Now a little history, She also forged my name on the deed of trust to our house about 1 year ago and took all the equity and spent it. She also refuses to pay child support or help me out with raising the kids or their health expenses including braces and glasses (I've got full custody) Trust me when I tell you married guys/gals out there "it's cheaper to keep 'em" Anyways, there is my vent. I feel better already. Is anybody here a counselor or a shrink?
  4. Hmmm, Maybe it's a good time for a new hauler for my chit. Business and the unfortunate way it works. With everything going on in the toyhauler market, here is my $.02. Most dealerships finance their inventory thru a bank. Which means they have to pay back the loans for each rig. With WW going under and all the other crap happening, the dealers are going to be letting these things go at a "deep discount" to ensure they don't get stuck holding the bag when everything settles. The extended warrenty companies don't cover chit and with no factory warrenty somebody is going to have to step up (or not "sold as is") Which leads me into the next issue. When a business is going to go belly up, the owners know the situation months in advance. The #1 priority they have is to save as much money for their "early retirement" as possible. Another words if I saw this coming, guess what, I'm laying off people, buying cheaper materials and skimping on the quality as much as possible. My guys are going to put chit together as fast as possible and get them out the door so the dealerships can stock up before I tank. I'm in savings mode. My chit will look tight but give it a year and it will be losing side panels on the freeway. So, buy a new box now save the $$ and take a chance or wait a while and when the dealerships are left holding the bag on a bunch of stuff they can't sell, pick one up then. Quality may be low but with the $$ you save, you can fix the problems these rigs are going to have. I'll sit on my '03 WW until I see what happens. There will always be somebody ditching a newer model rig at a deep discount because of divorce, financial issues or poor judgement.
  5. Now I don't know if this is true or not but I heard from a friend of mine that worked with or for WW about 2 years ago that one of the main guys at WW had left to start his own company (i can't remember which Toy Hauler Co. it is) Apperently the "main guy" saw that quality was going down and decided that he wanted to be the first man off a sinking ship. Oh well, mines out of warrenty anyway. As for those of you who are still in warrenty, I'm sure something will be put in place to cover your a$$es. On the bright side, I bet the ones that are sitting on the lots right now are going to be "on sale" big time. The banks need to recover their losses somehow :mischevious:
  6. If anybody here needs a shipping hookup, I can set you up with DHL. I work for them as a sales rep and will set you up with rates that are usually 10-40% less than our rack rates. Just PM me and I'll take care of all your shipping needs.
  7. I'm there. Can't wait to look at new cool chit I can't buy.
  8. Was that the one were the two guys launched from the font of the dunes and landed over by Banshee hill? I was there for that wreck for those 2 guys. Me and my bud were helping the rangers and sheriff keep the peace and scene clean for that. We were talking to the sheriff and people were riding thru and started looting the area for tires and stuff. Ive seen a few bodies in the desert but nothing ever as bad as the driver of that buggy. Man it sucks to loose a loved one in the desert. Best wishes to both those families.
  9. The best way to roll your ride or "I meant to do that"
  10. Same TV I've got. It's my second one in 3 years. First one had speaker issues after 1 year so they replaced the TV for free. Great TV but make sure you get the extended warrenty. I hear the bulbs need to be replaced after every couple of years and it's $$$$$$$$.
  11. When I took the course the instructor told me the "law" is that "as long as children have an adult that has taken the course with them and the adult has their cert available to show law enforcement that is all the law requires. The children do not have to have their cert but it is recommended that they take the course and get their cert as well." Maybe things have changed over the past 4 years. I'll just claim "ignorance" again. It's never worked for me but I keep trying Honestly, even if that is the law now, I have never had a problem with the rangers/sheriff out at Dumont. They all are very cool and pretty understanding. I also think that they are to busy/don't care to be bothered to try and enforce something like that. I've had them come up to my camp twice every year and have had them pass while riding with my kids and they never even mentioned it. They just come by to say "hi" it seems and to make sure I've got my thing hanging in on the mirror.
  12. You know it's summer when you can top off a Ritz with the fromunda. You know it's summer when your red and black shirts get the cool white blotches from the sweat. You know it's summer when your gal/guy drops trou and stands above a fan to dry off.
  13. Here is what I did. Bought my kid a 90cc predator. They give a free safety course when you buy a quad but it doesn't state who has to go. So I took it, got my cert. Bought my daughter a 250EX, had my girlfriend take the course, she got her cert. Bought my girlfriend a quad, had her son (18 yr old) take the course, he got his cert. Best part is Polaris gives you a $100 gift certificate after you do the course so I used all $300 to buy chit for my Predator 500 online. 3 adults have certs and I spent $300 OPM (other peoples money) God Bless the state of California Since I took the course and I have 30 friggin years of riding, who better to teach my kids to ride. I did make my kids read the owners manuals and I also have my own "riders training" course they have to do before they ride everytime we go out.
  14. Damn, he was really mad at that garage door Did they not want to pay their carpet cleaning bill or something
  15. You know it's summer when your kids are constantly letting you know they are bored. You know it's summer when your sack sticks to your inner thigh. You know it's summer when the traffic is better during the week. You know it's summer when the flies are taking over the house. You know it's summer when the price of gas goes up even higher in California. You know it's summer when you don't want to turn on the oven to cook.
