  1. if your gonna be pulling a lot get the diesel. We had a 01 Chevy 6.0 2500 as a work truck and that thing wined and moaned every time we had to pull the bobcat (mid size), but the 94 Dodge diesel did even worse because of the F'ed up injector pump.

You should be able to find a decent Dmax for under 10k, even if it has 200k on it they are really good motors!

  2. isnt the stock turbo good to 32??? my maximum is 29.....nothing over that......what is 29 psi gonna do to the turbo???

my truck it cuts off at 25psi, i have never hit it but thats what the programer is set for. anything above that can melt down your turbo and the motor. I think there might be a problem if your running 29psi and didnt pass the b*tch. i can roll 3rd gear on number one (mileage) on my edge and it will throw me back in the seat and gain at least 30mph in a few seconds, with like maybe 18psi.

  3. right now im running a 7 paddle stock swing arm and the front end still comes up easily. im converting my quad to alky and going to run a 9 paddle with a 7 over swing arm. question is, untill i convert from gas to alky would there be a problem running the gearing im currently running with the longer swing arm and taller, more paddles. thanks :headbang1::beercheers:

Well first we need to know what bike and whats done to it and current gearing.

With the longer swing arm you will get less traction seeing how there is less weight over the tires, but going to 9 paddle you will make up for that. you will most likely have to re-gear for those paddles no matter what.

What kind of of paddles are you running now and what ones will you be running? Im guessing 9 paddle extremes (buffed?)

I know someone selling some 9 paddle paddle brats that are shaved to the corded, almost new for under 200 bucks.

  4. No problem Rodney. I got a set of those Jimmie Jammers from him too to put on my truck. They are good to have. ;)

As for your trans, I told him to make sure the body shop estimator knows to have us check it out when they are done with the other stuff. Jimmy (the tech working on the handles and interior stuff) said he thought he felt it having trouble going into reverse so we will definitley look into it more and make sure the estimator tells your insurance company about whatever it may need if there's a problem.

:?: yeah please do, if there is ANY signs of problems with the drive train it needs to be fixed, the truck was 100% in that area before it was stolen (i never put it above 3 on the programmer) Hey can you check what number it is on....it was and should still be on 1 (not to sure if the dead batteries would clear it)

O and it was on empty when they stole it so if its more than empty the fuel should be checked (died diesel or gas)

Im sure it will all get checked but i just wanna make sure ya know....

O and PM me on how you want me to pay for the jammers, pay jimmy or you or ?

    thanks :blury:

  5. glad you found your truck

    pertinent story here.

back in 1989... I was hit by a drunk driver...it totalled my volkwagen jetta, which i bought brand new 2 years prior. i was still making payments on it, BUT I owed less than 3k on it as i was making double payments every month (i was making good cash as a part owner of a mobile car wash)

at the time...kbb low blue book was 13 K...my fuggin insurance co called the bank to see what i owed, then deducted my 1000 dollar deductable...and called me with a settlement for 2000 dollars

i asked them where they got that number, and they told me my payoff. i said "well, im looking at my contract i signed with you, and it states you will pay mid blue book value for my vehicle if it was totalled" the lady tried to tell me that was not their policy, but payoff minus deductable was....i then said"heres a scenario..what if i owed more than my car was worth, would you go by KBB then?" and she danced around the question :beercheers:

anyway..i told them i wasnt going to accept the offer. My mom was a notary public, and i had her draft a letter, which i sent to the ins co asking for middle blue book. i gave them 10 business days to comply, or do nothing at all. they chose the latter, at which time, i contacted the insurance commisioner of the state of CA, and the BBB. within a week, i had a check for full high bluebook...no deductable taken out, for my car

insurance companies want to keep their money..they will try every lowdown scheme in the book....

see thats such bull sh*t, we pay so much each month for insurance and they try to take every last dime you have in the end when you need what you have been paying for! :loser:

  6. Well its on its way to henderson chevy or its there already

Heres some pics, both door locks punched :headbang1: , steering column all f*cked up, deck stolen, subs stolen, some damage to both fender flares and inner fenders on the front, both batteries are dead cause they left it in the run position, they tried to steal my edge programmer but couldn't get it out. wheel lock key was laying on the floor with all the sh*t from the glove box so i am guessing they didnt see it or know what its for cause the rims are still on it :headbang1:

Insurance says they will cover the stereo and stuff if i have receipts which shocked the hell out of me seeing how they didnt want to cover it before :?: :headbang1:

all in all it could of been a lot worse

  7. ask them about a "bad faith" clause. Have them fax it to you. As soon as I mentioned that with American Family .. they had a settlement that afternoon.. Not sure if that helps but its worth a try.

The girl responded that she never heard of it but she sure was on the ball after that

    Capt

Thanks guys well as of 7:20pm tonight the truck was found. :ah: :yiah:

The stupid punks bused the locks and ignition, joy rode it and stole just the deck and subs out of it. :isbb: (this is what the cops told me, i have yet to see it) its at the impound yard down the street but i wanna get a good look at it in the morning. I will have to call the insurance company in the morning also to figure out where to get it fixed at.

Anyone know a GOOD/GREAT auto body place in Henderson area with a place that it can be locked up in?

I will not even touch the truck until 1 its fixed and 2 have a rider on it with all my aftermarket sh*t.

My next vehicle will be be bone stock so hopefully it wont get stolen and i wont have to worry about aftermarket stuff.

So do you guys think they will pay for a new stereo? :DDRrocks: stock or aftermarket?

Im just glad its back, so i can get what its worth....I am for sure gonna make sure the engine and tranny are not hurt seeing how it had the programer (but the way it sound they would be to stupid to fk with that) i mean really they took Maybe 500 bucks worth of stuff, sh*t the grill alone retails for 1200

I am also gonna order some type of security for it, just gotta figure out a good one :MBdance:

  8. Do you owe money on the truck?

If no then what is the big deal on what they are giving you?

If you do owe are they paying the balance off.

The extra sh*t you do need a ryder for or atleast have them adjust the value when you put the stuff on.

I went to them and showed them my stereo, my wheels and the tires and they took pics and adjusted the value of my truck incase it got stolen, I also have GAP insurance to pay off the balance i owed to the bank.

i owe 16800, they want to give me 16,668. i have gap insurance, i have pictures of everything aftermarket on the truck, and i told my insurance agent i had over 10000 in aftermarket stuff when i got the insurance, "apparently" he forgot to note it and has since left the company (i have been with them for just over a month)

1 they are low balling the sh*t out of me on the truck and 2 not covering any of the aftermarket stuff.

Its coming down to they are not holding true to there word. What would have happened if I got in a accident? What would have been covered? Would they have fixed the sheet metal and left it sit on the frame because the aftermarket components were ruined? no

  9. "We included and covered all of the items you listed as accessories on your truck, unfortunately not all items enhance the value of the truck.

If you possess information that would indicate otherwise, please let me know and we would be more than happy to review the information provided."

I wonder what i can do about that, search ebay for trucks like mine? go to the custom shop and have them write up something? or what?

  10. stick with a major reputable insurance company, state farm allstate etc. they may be a little more monthly, but when stuff like this happens they seem to be more realistic and fair to deal with. you live and you learn. If the truck ever gets recovered, but it back and sell all the aftermarket stuff! Ill buy alot of it.

Thanks, but first im gonna drive over the adjusters Magnum...i wonder how much that would be worth, stupid F'ers

  11. so they are taking $60 off your wheel and tire purchase? I'd call that good :D we are still batting them, we had almost 50K worth of tools and equipment in there as well (WITH A SECOND RYDER TO COVER THAT sh*t) we even had all the original receipts, some equipment was NEW being delivered to the customers site! And they are depreciating it ALL 75%!!!!! yeah were not done either, I hope you have better luck than us dude.

NO they are taking 60 bucks off the quoted price of 15000, they did not add 1492 for the wheels (having the 20" KMC's took money away from the truck :?: )

  12. I was wondering how u were doing. We had a king ranch stolen, and they totalled it when it was recovered, truck was a 2007 stolen early last year only had 5600 miles on it. We paid $56k for it, we got $21k :thumb: hate ins companies!!! esp for theft

Dude that sucks a$$, im gonna fight like non other on this. :beerpint: I wonder if getting a lawer would help at all. I guess maybe i should of went with Nation wide...don't they have a plan were they cover the replacement cost?

    I just dont get this!

"An adjustment of $ -60 was made for the reported aftermarket Aluminum/Alloy Wheels purchased 4 months ago at a cost of $1,492."

I really wish i had a punching bag....it would probably have a hole in it by now :chug:
