  1. Would have told him to Pound Sand. I'm all for being civil and such but if my camp is all set up it's going to take some splainin' to get me to move and it better not involve a threat, subtile or not. :beerpint:

That little sticker or hanger we all have in our window is our PERMIT as well. What his money is better that yours or mine? I think not.

  2. I have to say, I was overwhelmed with the comments and support from the Duners and tot's (trick or treaters). My family and I made this an event to keep close to us as we had workshops for our children, grown children and our grandchildren so that they could all get involved and be a part. So much quality time is lost with our familes these days and my husband and I found a way that we all could share in the haunt. Without the support and participation of our friends it would have been completely exhausting to do it alone. I have started my book for next year and have a bit more spook in store. So please tell us what you want to see, if you think it, I can build it :hello: !

  3. Ok, yes the dunes were a bit tore up, but we met new peeps, ran faster than normal due to lack of traffic and even with the tore up dunes, it was a good time. We all came home in 1 piece, safe drive home and now we are looking forward to the next run. Don't have no 70's but still have a good time no matter when we go! Yes, this time some wind would have been nice to clean up things, but oh well. I was not at home, did not have to deal with the home stuff and soooo enjoyed my runs that we did make. So for the next time, we will have another good time with memories............... See you all then....... Yes, thanks Ynot for the camp space. We will know your schedule next time for line up!!!!

  4. We are going to be out by bath #9 around 11-12 noon. Small camp with just a couple of rigs. Look for my white Alfa Motorhome and white enclosed trailer and a weekend warrior hooked up to a dodge truck. There will also be a white chev duramax later Friday. camp includes quads, razor and my car a cpl small dogs and a cpl of kids. You are more than welcome to join us just bring some firewood might be a little chilly at nite. We are pretty quiet so if you want to come by the light is on.

Thank you, figure we will actually arrive around 8:30 Green Itasca MoHo with a all white stacker, then my other rig is white Excursion with weekend warrior. 1 ol dog, 5 kids from 15 to 6, quads, rzr's, 2 cars, bikes and fire wood!!!!! Oh, and us 3 good ol folks! If the light is not on, we'll see you in the AM. :headbang1::DDRrocks:

  5. Ok, so they are turbo!! I love to feel that speed and the g force, but there is NOT one place that I cannot go with my stock rzr with NO paddles. I have my turbo busa to get my rush. I would love to set my husbands rzr up like this, but.....

  6. We are headeed out Friday afternoon from Apple Valley. Our duner buddies may not make it this weekend and would love to hook up and meet new peeps. Let us know if you are interested in meeting some new peeps!!!!!!!!

  7. the big question is will the verizon iphone work at dumont? the att iphone only works at a few spots.

My AT&T I PNONE IS ONLY GOOD IN CERTAIN AREAS IF YU STAND ON YOUR FEAKING HEAD!!!! IN MY OWN HOUSE, I HAVE I STAND BY TH3E FRONT DOOR, I CAN TALK WITH PEEPS. NOW WITH MY RV PHONE THAT IS SERVICED BY VERIZONE, I COULD STAND TAKEING A SHOWER AND TALK. FOR THE DUNES I HAVE NOT FOUND ONE SPOT THAT I CAN NOT AT LEAST GET 2 BARS WITH VERIZON INCLUDING MY AIR CARD FOR MY BUSINESS. UNFORTUNATELY I HABVE TO WORK A COUPLE HOURS A DAY WHEN AT THE DUNES. SORRY BUT IT IS WHAT IS IS. MY WORK, MY PLAY AND BELIEVE ME I LIKE TO PLAY!!!!! OK, I AM INTERESTED IN MORE CONVERSATION WITH THE DIFFERENCE AS I REALLY AM GETTING TIRED OF PAYING FOR ALL THESE CHANGES!!!! ONE OR THE OTHER, I WILL GO WITH WHAT IS BEST FOR ME EVERYWHERE. I HAVE COME TO ADAPT TO THE IPHONE BUT IF THERE IS SOMEHTING BIGGER AND BETTER?????? OMG THAT WOULD BE LIKE THE ULTIMATE "O"!

  8. Really, you don't need sand tires for your RZR to dune anywhere the large cars go or the small cars, even the 2 wheels, You just need to run with the folks who RZR with regular ol tires that come on the RZR. Believe me, My son was hell bent on my buying sand tires, WE, prooved him all wrong. We can show you how!!!!!

  9. First I just want to say that I was not nor am I in favor of raising the weekly fee but due to the fact that the holiday's take up so much of our money I felt that the case was justified. Most weekly passes are sold for the holiday weekends so I went along with it. I am all for getting rid of the complicated system we have now as it is way to much of an enforcement and accounting headache.

As to a day pass i would love to see it but personally don't think I ever will. Due the lack of ability of having the "gate" guarded 24/7 and each pass having(since they are time/dated) to be closely inspected. It is not physically possible and the people who just can't seem to play by the rules no matter what it are going to try to take advantage of the situation by purchasing a day pass staying there several days and then leave when they know the gate will be unguarded.

I would like to see some sort of sticker that you could buy along with an annual pass that would allow another vehicle access but not be allowed to have toys whats so ever in it/on it etc. It could even be an actual sticker that goes on the family car. If you sell it the sticker must be removed and sent to BLM for a new one. They could have corresponding #'s or something like that. it's just a thought.

It is a problem that everything you deal with in government circles takes so much time or else it would be a lot easier.

As to the Glamis $25.00 weekly Pass it only happened that way because somebody dropped the ball and didn't get the proper paperwork submitted to the RAMP for a price increase in time for that year's meeting. So trust me it will change.

To put it short and simple I don't see anything changing this coming season as we have to have letters of support to the RAMP by August and from what I have seen here it would appear that's not going to happen so we will be stuck with what we have for another year till we get the chance to change it again.

New to DDR, but willing to go to meets too. Let me know or where to find out where.

  10. WTF is the green sticker money that CA is extorting from me go towards? Is that for something other than BLM managed land? I can't even non-op the quad I have that doesn't run - WTF! No wonder everyone is at their wits end over 10.00, when is enough, enough?

Green sticker fee is the registration fee for the toy, not the tugs that get you there or the entrance fee to a park or Recreational area.

  11. Ok, Hello all, and thank goodness we get to talk about this among all common folk who like to play hard. My family and I enjoy both dunning and trails. In San Bernardino County mountain ranges we buy a Wilderness Pass for the season for one it's $35.00 and we pay an additional $5.00 for second pass for the, you guessed it, the guest pass or day pass or whatever you want to call it. On a business end of it, when you are more general population friendly with folks, (like you and me) you will encourage more participants which in turn would increase revenue. Ok, so stop, you increase people you increase the stupidity, no not really. As one chimer indicated that he would love to have his Mom come out on the Holiday's to enjoy what she raised her children to enjoy, but lost the one soul mate that lead her and the children there all these years past! Some day she or he will not be able to come out. On the other hand, you have the up and comers to the dunes that may not want or be able to come when the rest of the fam comes out and perhaps, introduces their friends to the enjoyment of the dunes. Yep, you will get your idiots, but you get them anywhere.

Oh, for the ones that think this is a crazy price to pay, when was the last time you went to one of those commercial amusement parks, that you wait in a stinking line behind other people from gosh knows where only to smell their lack of personal hygiene and on your feet for 2 hours for what, 45 to 90 seconds of a thrill? Yep that for a fam of 4 would easily set you back $500.00 when the ONE day is done! Just think, no camp fires, no smores, no fireworks (oops did I say that) yes there out there and we know it. Ok, no runs with our friends that share a common interest, no North Pole funnies, No south Pole tributes to our Soldiers. I could go on, but I think by now, you get it.

Go to the River in the off season, if you stay at a State Park that would run you between $25 to 40 per night with hookups or arrive at the commercial parks and that will easily run you $45 to 55 per night. You can't run the river or lake like you run the dunes but you still have fun with friends and fam.

No, I don't want to pay anymore that I have to, but if I have to, to enjoy you, me and my friends and family, I will give up something for the extra few bucks. We are all grown, you can figure it out.

Thank you all for yoru time in this endeavour for our satisfaction of this recreational area.
