  1. Damn, what a nightmare!!! It looks like a few hundred dollars worth of paint should fix that coach. Boy that looks like a nice rig. If it were mine, I think I would have killed them! If not, held one of them until somone came back to get them with ID... Definately could have been a lot worse... Or better had they gotten a trip to jail. I HATE THEIFS!!!!
  2. Looks like good work in MS paint! Thanks for the map Pete. That will help! See you Friday!

  4. I am planning on camping with you guys, assuming I can find you.... What can we contribute and for how many? The wife makes great guacamole (so I have been told as I dont eat avacado). So we could bring guac and chips and or anything else that might be suggested... Let me know...
  5. If I find you guys, we will be bringing some fire wood.. Keep an eye out for me Friday morning.. If you saw my previous post, I will be hard to miss. I will be looking for the DDR banner as well. We are planning on arriving around 9:00am... Hope to find you guys there.. Does anybody have the GPS coordinates of the DDR camp location?
  6. Now I should be easy to spot.. I hope I can spot you guys as easy! The toyhauler comes in handy for keeping the kids out of the RV

  9. Will there be any kids camping with you guys? I will have my 8 year old son and 15 year old daughter. How do we find you? Best Regards, Scott
  10. I picked up a new LTR450 a few weeks ago. I don't really have any real good time on it to give a great review but I can say it is by far the most stable quad I have ever been on. My last quad was a Banshee and that was a long time ago but this thing is so wide that you would have to try pretty hard to get it to tip over! It handles incredibly. It does donuts like there is no tomorrow. Lean in a little, turn the bars, poor on the throttle and hang on! You can spin your head off before this thing will flip! I was messing around with it and got myself so dizzy, I thought I was going to fall off the bike. I have done a few mods to it that really open it up. The bike right of the floor is pretty plugged up. When you remove the spark arrestor and air box cover, you get another 7HP! The air box cover has 2 little hole to breathe though. So little that I can plug them up with my pinky finger and I am a lillt guy! It is recomended that this be done in conjunction with a Yoshimura cherry bomb which is a $40 plug in module that increase the fuel mixture. 1 screw and a $40 plug is all it takes and you gain 20% MORE HP! I think Suzuki wanted made it this way becuase of emissions or liabilty. When I picked my quad up from the dealer, they already did the above for me which eliminated the fun of wrenching on it. They also had a full Yoshi exhaust system in stock and I had all I could do to keep my self from buying it! The quad sat in my garage for a few days and knowing that the yoshi was sitting on a shelf around the block was killing me so in less than a week of owning the damn thing, I raced down to the shop and brought home the exhaust. So now the bike has the full Yoshi on it as well. I have also added full under carriage skids, Twist throttle, new pro taper style Trail Tech handle bars and clamp, Trail tech HID head lights, GPS, Comp cut 20" Sand Skate paddles on .125 Douglas rims and front razor backs to match. Nerf bars on order. The only thing realling missing now is a fuel management system. From what i have read, the bike will run lean with the full yoshi system and the air box cover removed. The fuel injection system on the bike does not use an o2 sensor and instead uses a pre programed map. Evidently Suzuki created 2 maps in the stock system and the cherry bomb opens the second map which allows for spark arrestor and air box cover removal. Unfortunately it seems that the cherry box is not enough for a full tuned exhaust. Yoshi says just run a 50/50 mix of pump and race fuel but that will not make the bike run richer but would help with detonation instead. Mine does seem to run good as it is but I really don't want to chance it not to mention that tuning fuel injection is like jetting a bike and a properly jetted bike will make for much better power. Yoshi as well as a few others are about to release their fuel management systems any day so I hope to have that before my next trip. If not, I will drill some holes in the stock air box cover and put it back on if I need to. For those of you that are wonding what this quad is like, I will be at Dumont for Easter weekend. It flat out screams. I cant wait to get it to the dunes to really see what it can do! I am sure I will be impressed!
  11. We are going to leave home at dawns crack on Friday. I plan on getting to Dumont around 10am. Maybe as early as 8am if I can get everyone moving earlier. It is about a 3 1/2 - 4 hour drive for me.
  12. I know the LTR wont get me out.. I was just being silly. Although it might come in handy finding a truck that can pull me out. Getting stuck is my biggest nightmare. I figure the kids will love it. Not sure about my daughter since she is a little more timid and hates the sand. Son will be like a pig in doody though! How am I going to find you guys?
  13. LTR is the new Suzuki 450 Quad. I would love to hook up with others! Let me know how we can coordinate it. I will be coming with friend Mike who has a RMZ450, my wife, 8 year old son and 15 year old daughter. They have never been to the dunes before so this should be interesting for them. My son rides a KX65 and is crazy so I think he will be at home on his a$$ in the sand. I am getting him a paddle. He will also have a nobbie for the hard pack. Daughter rides a TTR125 and that thing would not be happy with a paddle so she will be on a nobbie. We also have another TTR125 and a LTZ250 Quad with a paddle so I am sure they will be able to keep themselves entertained. 3Roto, Do you drop your air pressure in your tires to get in or out?
  14. Get stuck? Thats what I bought the LTR for! Is the sand pretty bad out there below the dunes? I remember it being hard pack below the dunes but that was too many years (brain cells) ago so my memory is likely wrong. That's the one thing I fear about taking the rig to the dunes. Any suggestions?
  15. I am new here. It has been a long time(12 + years) since I went to Dumont last. I am looking to take the family out to Dumont for Easter weekend. Anybody else with kids heading out there? It would be nice to meet up with a semi mellow group. We will be coming down in a 39 Diesel pusher with a 24 Toy Hauler on the back. Are there any issues camping close to the dunes in the sand? Will we need to deflate the tires? Any suggestions would be helpful and camping company would be welcome!!! We would like to camp as close to the dunes as possible without being on top of one or in the way. Best Regards, Scott
