  1. Wifey and I did a Shakedown run to Lone Pine Cali to see if my new tow setup for the MH and Jeep would stay togetherIMG_6666.thumb.jpg.a0139628e19ce2745144eaec1d2c6a8a.jpgIMG_6664.thumb.jpg.9e53b44f1d309dfb45c43da59e1b238d.jpg

Everything help up great.  Had to make some brake cable adjustments on the Lone Pine side.  Jeep pushed us all the way down the mtn grades through Death and Panamint Valleys

One there, Stayed at Boulder Creek RV just outside Lone Pine.

Took the jeep to 10,000ft and did some hiking.

Next Day we did some Movie Site touring around the Alabama Hills...  If you haven't done this, you should...  You also need to stop at the Movie Museum in Lone Pine.

I could see a Cell Tower sticking up into the sky from the Hills between Baby and Big Dunes

    Sorry no picture

I did this event, looks like I was already passed by the time you set up.  We started at 9am and probably went through Dumont around 10:00 - 10:30 ish.   Our vehicle was #215

    You Ran in it?

Kudos to you my friend 🙂

  4. Hello All,

The Beautiful Wife and I are owners of a Brand-SpankMe-New Motorhome

The thing is a beast and we love it

We are headed out to Dumont for New Years

Our other motorhome didn't have auto levelers, or levelers at all for that matter

    Question:

do you disconnect from your trailer before you auto level  your RV??

    Thank you in advance,

  5. OkieDokie

Rebel/ARCO at Corner of Charleston and Shadow Lane (across from UMC)

    I didn't see a price posted

But the Yellow Handled pumpers are still there

The Yellow Handle designates the E85

    Hope this helps

So there not blasting tomorrow the 26th correct.

    Correct!!!

They have done a great job of posting the date on the blinking light signs and the over the highway amber alert sign, both sides of mountain.

They blast a day, then they change the date to whatever the next blast date is

    As of this morning

    New blast date 10/31 1245

  7. Heres the Fact Jacks!!!!

    Next Blasting Date

    10/31 @ 1245

    Road is still very travelable

Tight in some spots and single lane each side at top

    65mph to 55mph to 45mph at top

    Enjoy and be safe

This is why I was vague in the beginning

    Happy Duning 🤣

Hope to be there. There is one problem though, our sand rail is too big for our trailer. We’ll have to figure out something because I would really like to go.

    Rent a Uhaul car hauler....

  9. Yes, sorry for that

I didn't know there was an official Mtn Pass😝

The intense road work is on the 160 headed to Pahrump at Mt Potosi

I know I was corrected with my initial post

I was intentionally vague due to past experience with the road work and closures.....

Anyway, it is still a good drive as long as it is not closed

  10. Umm, one of those Cali parks on a Holiday weekend......  Good Luck 😲

  11. The Official T-shirt folks are still out there from back then.

I don't know how to contact them.  But they have lots of there old shirts that they sale out of boxes on tables at the dunes.  Don't know if they have any that far back..

I was thinking the same thing as foolsofsand.....  That is always an option to get you back out there.

  12. Hey All,

    Just a heads up

They are doing some pretty serious road work on Mtn Pass

They are going to start blasting on Monday

Blasting will close the road for hours at a time

The Pahrump Valley Times says it will be every other day till the end of Oct early Nov

Keep this in mind when you plan your travels to Dumont....

    Happy Duning,
