i was happy i could play follow the leader behind pete on the way back last weekend. only one trick and it would have been a better trick if there would have been cooked meat coming off the BBQ instead of parts and tools. the only tricky part of the tecopa route is that one section that is tight and curvy with the hairpin turn. but it is what a couple miles at the most. the rest of the road is fine and if it keeps me off 15 on a weekend im all for it... ps we need a flying food smiley

so i was flipping through the dunebuggy.com classified and came across a short sand car just like petes but with a turbo. $8500 good price wish it was later in the year when im going to have more cash. but im sure there will be one when im ready...... anyway was just dreaming out load...... my quads work just fine for this season at least.

looking for a small gene but i want one that is big enough to run a small ac unit and a few other small items lights tv. what size do people have in there small haulers. i have looked at the small ac units and it is 1200 watts start up and 850 watts running . i think a 1800 watt unit is all i need. my trailer is a short 16' enclosed that i have remodeled into a hauler. so i do really have many extra power uses....thank for any help

observations from my first time ddr weekend............... evryone is cool and out for a good time :DDR_rocks!: ddr rides are rough on a quad with soft summer muscles randy's rail is fasssssssssssssst we can cook!! potluck was great if my banshee had more chrome and a person half my size it could bet pauly up comp but only if he takes the cherry bomb off. if you follow pete home you might see flying BBQ parts and brushs :angry2: and camping and riding with all of you is very addicting im already planning for halloween B)

what way do people go from vegas to dumont? :shocked2: i have a titan 4x4 and a small toy hauler and will be making my first trip this weekend. i have maps and know the area somewhat just would rather hear for all of you then to try them all at least at first few times. or if someone wants to travel together i will be ready on friday about noon on.

i will be ready to head out around noon friday would like to follow one of you vetrans out. i will be towing a 16' enclosed trailer with my titan 4x4. let me know if anyone is leaving vegas around then.

im planning on making it out and camping with all you. i have been stuck on a job 12 hour days 27 days total ending on the 2nd. should have just enough time to finish getting quads and trailer ready. could use a map or instructions on finding the camp dumont newbi

mine is the SE extra cab dont think im missing anything but the towing mirrors and the rockford stereo. i took the 18" rims off and picked up a set of the offroad package 17" w/BFGs dealer take offs. towed my new (old) trailer back from san diego up over the grapevine at 80 no problem w/ac. want to get it loaded and see how it does dont expect any problems.

well im new to your site but i might be able to make it up also. you seem like a good bunch that i can have fun with. this will be my first real dune season caught the end of last year. but now my truck trailer banshee and bomb ds650 are all in play mode. do you rejet for coral pink? had the banshee up there before but it was having cdi problems so i couldnt tell if it was off tune.. have to check my schedule but i most likely could leave thursday. would like to meet up and cruz with someone so i wouldnt have to try to find your camp .....

I have a 04 Nissan Titan 4x4 love that truck . now my last truck was a frontier 4x4 with that POS supercharged 3.3 that thing sucked more gas then a Dodge. and still couldnt get out of its own way. 4x4ed nice but not a happy power plant . knock sensor would get faults readings and put it in boost bypas mode and make it rich=no power and worse milage! and this happened ofton. no real factory fix just pull over shut it off and pull the key. start back up with boost for the however long. so far the titan has been very tight and have had no recalls or repairs 20,000

cool still setting it up will post some pics soon. and will contact ynot about a alarm soon. the trailer sets in my side yard with a good ball lock (yea i said ball lock lol ) and my quads arent stored in it. im more worried about on the road- parking lots, hotels, more remote camping.

i just picked up a enclosed trailer stripped down toy hauler. does anyone use alarms on there trailers? i was going to look into a car type alarm and run it off the deep cell. anyone done this or any other ideas. i like the look of that lock gives off a vibe that it wouldnt be worth trying to f*** with

how much caution tape is picked up as trash durning dune clean-ups? seems like on windy weekends alot of that tape gets blown around.
