Old Dumont Videos

[80grit]

I use to shoot a bunch of videos out at Dumont. Just going through them and uploading them now. Pete's gonna give me a hard time of my music choices on some of the older ones but some are 10 years old.

Here is one from 2005 (from Banshee Wars 1)

Guy blows up his Banshee at the starting gate and I did a little slow motion zoom technique on it to show the rod coming through the bottom of the case. These guys were hitting 90 mph on Banshee Hill.

2005? I was there somewhere... I love love old sand riding videos. I subscribed to you. I have pics of 2005 at dumont and what stands out besides the number of 2strokes is the complete lack of rhinos, it's all golfcarts.

ahh the good old days of pre-farm equipment.....4 years ago

I know feels like yesterday even more so if you think of a movie that came out in 2005 that you remember seeing. Yet in those 4 years the whole scene has changed. The biggest difference being the size of the crowd. Not even a third of 2005.

I know...isn't it great!?

I loved the crowd actually. I still camp as close to the mouth between comp and banshee hill. I love the constant buzz. If it were possible, I would camp on the backside of the hill so I could sit back and watch the racing all night.

These videos take forever to upload.

This one was Banshee Wars 1 which I think was 2004 or 05. LC Performance won it all on a 4 Mil Superior motor. I dont think he got beat all day. He even raced it in the 10 mil class and won that too.

This was the 10 mil open class finals

I don't recognize those races so I am betting 04... awesome!
