andydew Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I have cb's in the tow vehicles, and a portable (walkie talkie size); but no one I camp with has them, so not really. Ch 9 is a dedicated emergency channel(nationwide) and ch.19 is a dedicated info channel...the truckers will usually help you out with traffic/ construction/ lane blockage/ bear reports ( ) , as long as you can "talk trucker" and not sound like a kid playin with dad's radio. The radios come with a 70's stigma, but I've saved myself from more than one speeding ticket with them BTW: are you the same "aseman" I've heard on the radio near fontana Quote

I also skip shoot often. I think you're talking about ACEMAN out in the E. LA area, not me. I'm in Eastvale often so you may hear me out there in Riverside; "747-The Samurai." I'll probably be on a dune ridge shooting skip in my blk jeep this Thanksgiving weekend, in Dumont. Quote

Yah, I grew up here, in whats now called Eastvale, when the majority of my neighbors were still cows...lol.... Not as many flies back then until all these stinkin people moved in haha Quote
