ngoodey Posted August 18, 2012 Share Posted August 18, 2012 I am looking at a 1600 turbo vw 4 seater rail and was wondering if it was going to do what I need/want. I am wanting it to climb comp and buzz around the dunes. I dont have to be the first one up but I want it to be faster than walking up the dunes or a stock 400 quad. Any opinions will be appriciated. sandawg Posted August 27, 2012 Share Posted August 27, 2012 (edited) It really depends on the weight of the rail especially when loaded with 4 people. My first rail was a turbo 1641 cc 2 seater and I had a ball with it. I still drive a 2 seater with a 2110 and a turbo and I can drive it in a respectable manner. Again the weight, boost, gearing, and tire size will be the determining factor on just how fast you can go.
