I have a 2006 Duramax and it doesn't smoke at all, even if I floor it (at least I've never seen it smoke). A mechanic friend of mine said they have changed the timing to 10-80-10 whatever that means.

you have to get out of the trcuk to see it smoke

well as far as smoke goes, mine puts off quite a bit, so much that i actually got a letter from DMV about it. saying that if I got another complaint, that i would have to bring in my truck. so ill just put my programmer back to stock and take it in...neee neeerrrr nee nerrrr DMV :flipoff:

smoke is great for these reasons: (my wife calls it "Puffin")

1. Puffin Pedistrans is FUN

2. keeping tail gaiters off your arse is FUN too

3. nothing like smoking out a Ricer

4. it never gets old...

Real diesel motors don't have glow plugs.

My Dodge never smoked until I put a little box on it, now I can make it smoke especially in Utah on narrow 2 lane roads with no shoulder and with bicycle riders on the road!
