RaptorMike Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Im just trying to figure out what size of paddle tire and rim i should run on my raptor700, front and back. You get all kinds of replys back that you dont know where to start Quote
RaptorMike Posted August 27, 2007 Author Posted August 27, 2007 I know that i will do more rec riding then anything else, so ill go with a v paddle, i guess 20x10x10,but dont know what rim and would like some info on fronts. Quote
MTX Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Sand Star makes a good V-paddle 20x10x10 with with 21x7x10 dual rib. Sand Tires Unlimited sells SS1 comp cut with I think are the best Vs but most expensive at around $400 set (rear) Quote
Richard Cheese Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 i run skat trak extremes.....22's on my DS...i have seen similiar setups on some rappy 700's too.. also the dune stars...or whatever they call them...look at the sizes...i think the 22's are the way to go....at least for my bike Quote
the kid with the mohawk helmet Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 We run 22's skat-trak haulers on our yellow raptor 700 there great...They keep you strait and you will cover everyone behind you in sand...roost=huge with those tires..People have there own opinions...Other people perfer the sand stars..Our gray 700 has them. They are easier to control when your side ways but the skat traks you can just pull out and get strait right away...just my Quote
Richard Cheese Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 ^^^ what he said...the skat traks dune extremely well Quote
EY3BA11 Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 I have ridden dunefreaks 660 with the skat trak haulers and they would be my first choice on a tire if i ever got a quad Quote
90+ PLUS Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 (edited) skat trak all the way they are the lightest paddle out with the douglas .125 rims. thats what i have on mine my results q11.bmp Edited August 28, 2007 by tanner54 Quote
sanddunesaddict Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 My choices will always be STU Padla Brats comp cut or Skat Trak haulers. Bigger guys like my self,Cheese,Isbb,Sandyfz and Dunefreak can still throw a bike around with Haulers. They do not like to slide with little people on them or inexpierenced riders. Quote
RaptorMike Posted August 28, 2007 Author Posted August 28, 2007 what would be the difference in 20 compared to 22 besides the 2 in Quote
sanddunesaddict Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 20's will spin easier and slide easier than 22's. 22's you mike have to gear down on the front sprocket Quote
the kid with the mohawk helmet Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Well if im correct i think skat - trak makes extremes that are 21's so its in the middle you wont have to gear down but who knows..Hope you like what you choose Quote
