  1. Well if they are at 4 and pulling hard without boging the bike than you should be fine or you could go down to 3 and try that. You want them to float with out hooking up so good that they pull the motor down. to. I know when I play on my sons and I dig it in it pulls right out, but he is running sand skate II. My other son has sand stars on his bike and to me I think they suck ( to hard and heavy) but he only weighs 50 lbs and rides a built blaster so he can go anywhere he wants. So im not going to chang them.

    When I pipe my sons 400 Im going to go with a sparks on his. A friend of mine just bought a Yoshi for his wifes and it was jsut a bolt on deal and did help on the low to mid. He left the air box alone so there was no need to jet it. Yoshi are good but Im wanting to try something diffrent for ours.

    Also Ive ran across your post a few and noticed that this bike is new to you. You have to remember that your 400 doest have the HP or TQ a 450 has and the 400 love to be reved high to get into the power. So try riding it like you stole it. . Trust me it can take it.

    yes...out of all the 4-strokes zuk's definately are more rpm happy. but like i said before not to toot my own horn but my old z was and still is fast (it's at dumont all the time) and you saw that i'm pretty fast on my ltr so i will HOOK A SISTA up and i WILL NOT steer you wrong :mischevious:
  2. i made it out for saturday and i'll tell you that the weather couldn't be any better :blink: i got to meet paulypaul at comp hill and did a little racing :laughoff: he's really cool. i also got to meet suzukilt and we did the same. sorry i didn't get over to meet any more of 'yall but maybe next time. i know suzukilt is going out this weekend, but i think my next trip will be president's day.

  3. im never riding that bike again.

    i cant start it or shift it. eff 2 strokes

    come on kayla :beercheers: you never sounded like a quiter to me? yeah the starting thing takes a little getting used to but the shifting?? it's just like a 400ex only you gotta do it faster :D

  4. WOO HOO KAYLA!! finally 'yall got a real quad, a SUZUKI :idiot::D the baddest of the bad. that baby's 51 h.p. stock. what year is it? if you don't go insane with the modding (keep it close to stock) the cases will be fine. the '87's were the weakest when heavily modded, and the dealer can still get almost everything for the quadzillas. just keep working your charm on 'ol pop he'll let ya try her out :fro: :D

  5. Just curious has that been proven or just something that has been said?

    The Suzuki dealer on Craig said that pipe and cherry bomb plus filer adds 10 and I think they are about 32 to 33 stock so that should put them at about 42 total.

    an aquaintance of mine, steve @ FUELATV.com in cali is doing major r&d on the ltr's and what he's got back from the dyno is this= 1=48 h.p. w/cherry bomb,no lid,no spark arrestor,91 pump fuel.

    2=51 h.p. w/cherry bomb,no lid,full DASA exhaust system,91 pump fuel.

    3=55 h.p. w/same set-up as #2 + mild cams & mild port & polish.

    that is gospel :D

  6. Is my bike stock? is yours :P :north_pole: ? You do have pipe, filter, cams, ect.... right? I am more interested in racing the zuki then you. Well actually, I am really more interested in seeing you beat that Slowzuki ha ha J/K. BY the way do you still wear the helmet with the horns? I talked to you one time at Amargosa, at the hill. I don't always remember the people I meet at the dunes but a girl wearing a helmet with horns is hard to forget. :D

    hey there, your rappy is the se version, i haven't seen many of those yet but i think you were either there at armagosa or even racing my buddy on my first ltr when he crashed at the top of comp hill and the bike continued on about 1/2 way down the hill :unsure: totalled it by the way and my buddy is ok. was that you?

  7. well the 'zuk is a race ready bike (mx) stock but the yfz is 18 lbs. lighter and has better gearing in the tranny (not as tall) and if i'm not mistaken has an extra valve, but gear the 'zuk correctly for it's h.p. and look out they fly. it still comes down to rider in the end though. hey girl with horns we'll have to race the next time i see ya out at armagosa :jester:

  8. my boss' kid just got his 700r back from pure evil motorsports here in town and in utah and it has the trinity 734cc kit, 11.75 comp. piston, trinity/web stage II cam and springs, ron woods exhaust, trinity efi controller, gyt-r intake kit and evil's port job and it dyno'ed out @ 60 h.p. and 47 ft. lbs.

  9. well i think i'm gonna have to break my tradition from starting my armagosa season on new years :( and go to dumont because i got challenged to a race from a friend of mine with his 700r raptor :laughoff: so right now i'm a little undecided but 'yall that are going to the "big dune" should come out to dumont.

  10. let me tell ya that i just came back from dumont turkey weekend with my brand new 20x10x8 6 paddle extremes and they are totally awesome BUT BE ADVISED i had 13/38 gearing because of the heavier and taller sandstars i was running and i'm going back down to 13/36 because the 38 was to low of a gear for the smaller lighter skat's. i'm also 220lbs. believe me the 6 blades are great :beercheers:
