  1. This episode of "As the Hill Blows" brought to by Sand YFZ. :stick_smack: :porn: :woo_hoo:

Aaron, that thing is still DUNE-ABLE right!?:whip:

Look at the pics, nothing on my chassis has changed. It dunes like a dream. My suspension is plush.I duned all day with you on it twice remember? Its lightened up but has Elkas, and BRAKES.

  2. ^^^^^^^^ Hell no it isnt!!!! :whip:

Bert my bike is the exact same chassis setup as the day i duned it ALL DAY with you. What makes you think its is no longer duneable. It has ELKAS.Im confused about why you would say that. Not only is it fully duneable its very plush on top of that.It has an aluminum axle but its a solid play axle and dunes great. :woo_hoo:

  3. Aaron you are taking on the LT's? If so let me know when I would like to video this one. :whip:

Taking on NO,Taking OUT YES!!! :porn: I was challenged indirectly by Bryan AKA rob Sanders. He said he was going to take out the YFZ duners this season so i accepted the challenge and its on for Halloween. :woo_hoo: John H is just guilty by association.Bring the camera PLEASE.I want to get this one on tape.Ive been known to ACCIDENTALLY drift in to big $H*T talkers lanes when we race,Hey,it happens,LMAO!!

  4. Hmm, don't know what to tell you then... mine doesn't really glow

After I race the sh*t out of my bike the pipe is hot but not the way it sounds like he is described it. The glowing went away a long time ago. The only time it starts to glow is when the humidity is bad. Which is usually at the Night Drags, Or when I'm just riding around camp.

Mine doesnt glow either.Especially in the daytime :watching:

  5. Well, I am going to buy a sparks full exuast eventually, but im also saving for a new diesel, so I dont want to spend too much money right now...so I ask for DDR's opinions on these differant pipes which i think are reasonably priced...

I dont know much about exuast systems, so any input is help, thanks for your time guys!

It all depends on what you want to do.If you are riding MX type stuff the Yoshi,FMF,Pro circuit, and Dr. D are good choices. They are all mainly Low/Midrange pipes. If you plan on Duning alot i would stick with your original plan. The Sparks Big Core is one of the best exhausts out there. The Ron Woods is a great pipe also.ESR Pro Series runs great.Another great all around pipe is the M4.Most of these corporate places you are linking to just sell MX style pipes.I had a YOSHI for my first pipe on my YFZ and although it ripped on the bottom end it fell flat on its face on the top end power.I switched to the ESR Pro Series and ESR airbox eliminator and it was a HUGE difference. You are going to want to get an intake with the exhaust too.I would reccomend the FCI if you can afford it,or the Ron Woods. The Ported ESR is the next best thing and very affordable over the other 2.You cant go wrong with the Sparks Big Core though.Thats what i would get if i were you.Dont get a slip on.Save you $$$ and do it right.Sparks Big Core and a Fuel Customs Intake will rip.Good Luck!!

  6. You need to put one these pics in dune pic of the month, very nice! :dolphin: [maybe this comment won't get deleted like the one i made about barefoot bobs "very nice" wheelie in dune pic of the month]

Thanks for the compliments :thumb: Does anyone know if Banshee Wars if officially off?Sucks if it is thats usually the first good weekend of the season before of course Halloween. We are so close i can taste it :finger:

  7. If the pipe is getting Soooooo hot,the jetting might be off.Pretty much every 4 stroke gets some degree of hot on the header. The bend on the header usually effects that too. With the Ron Woods pipe i can ride without feeling it at all,but like the Sparks pipe you can really feel it more. The bend in the headers can make a big difference.

  8. so lets see now. i think you probably have about 20 grand in the bike now right? ha ha. glad its running great. we are going to check out sand hollow monday. my silly daughter and the meathead are living there in st. george so we figured we would kill 2 birds with 1 stone and go there so we can have some fun and they can see their kid. [ we have custody of delilah ]. :D

20K?Hmmm maybe. Not just in upgrades.Maybe including the cost of the bike originally.I dont just go buy things,i always sell and then buy. That is since 2004 though, but i dont care. That quad has done me proud on plenty of occasions. This whole sport is a money pit right? Its not cheap to have fun ya know :booty:

  9. Did the bike run good, Aaron?

Yeah we might make an early run tomorrow AM. You up for another ride? I have room. :D:laughing:

Well since our last trip out,i changed alot of stuff with the motor, gearing, and setup. It was a healthy 5+ bikes faster. Its faster than its ever been since i bought it.I was really impressed.I cant wait for Halloween :booty: You guys are gonna like the sand. All virgin. We made the first tracks today. It was a little hard to read but damn smooth.

  10. Me and a friend of mine rolled out to Dumont today. The road still sucks, although its not as bad as it was last time i was there.I do like how it keeps the dust down though.Anyway we got lucky with some cloud cover and a light breeze so it wasnt scolding hot.The sand was fantastic and really smooth like glass :booty: There was only a few people there. It was really quiet.Very fun daytrip. We had a great time.I heard some of you guys are going tommorow. We rode around a little and it was pretty unpredictable with sharp razorbacks and hard to read.It sure is nice though when the sand is so smooth. Here are a couple pics.

    Danny

Temps were 92 at 7am and 102 when we left.

  11. Bert just told me he was the guy who got hit by a rail a while back on a CR500 going up comp hill. That was HIM?

He also said he came out with Dave Reynolds and camped with us once. I can't seem to remember exactly who he was, but either way, thats very sad to hear. Poor guy.

Ya he was the one that clipped that rail that cross cut the hill that day on the CR500,and never let off the throttle. He was one crazy guy,and always alot of fun to be around. He used to ride a Black Banshee. That is still up there with one of the knarliest wrecks ive witnessed. I also used to always run into him at 7-11's when he delivered for Budweiser  He will be missed.

  12. I couldn't believe it when I got the call on Fri., but it is with a heavy heart that I bring this news to DDR:

One of the rescue workers stated off the record that it appeared something possibly fell from above knocking Justin off of his ladder then down the shaft.

Justin was a very close friend of the family and a fellow duner. Unfortunately he left behind a wife and very young daughter.

Services for Justin will be 2 pm this Thur @ Palm Mortuary on Eastern and Warm Springs in Vegas.

RIP brother....you will be sorely missed by your family and friends.

I knew Justin very well, went to school with him.Very sad to hear,i was shocked :shocked2:

  13. They have had a turbo for the 700 raptor for a while. There was one back at the first 4scs race.Ive only seen one bike run very well on a turbo.Seems like a waste of time and money IMO.If you are going to run a power adder might as well spray a 30 shot on nitrous.Im pretty sure KMS makes turbo setups for just about every bike.
