  2. Alright, so I bough a new scud, and this was found inside the main cargo bay... Its made of 1/2" stainless rod, with extremely nice welds on the attachments. One attachment has a knurled knob at the end of it... Much like that of the striker on a Bick lighter. The other appears to just be a piece of bent rod threaded into the sliding attachment... Its in two pieces with an aluminum collar to connect the two.... The lower section is pointed as you can see in the picture... As I said, I found it in the cargo hold, so I assume its RV related, anyone that can help identify it please come forward.

    So .... what's a scud? lol

  3. Well I did it. After recently gaining a whole new appreciation for photography, I bought a new badass telephoto lens for my new Canon 50D camera. :dope: It took alot to take the plunge, but I'm sure I'll love it.

It's the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens, plus I bought a 1.4x extender for more range.

I'm so stoked. Can't wait to get out and use it. Should be here tomorrow. :beat:

    yayahhhh :bawl:

Good deal Pete, sounds like you're over the $ remorse already, and while you're shooting the the thousands of pics that you'll take over the years with that lens you'll never be burdened with a thought of being equipment handicapped. That alone is worth the $. :thumb:

  4. Does anyone here know of a glue that would adhere to ATC plastics.

My fender was in sweet shape till like 1:00am Sunday morning of the Regatta. :drunk2:

All in a sudden my foot was hurtin' and the fender was cracked. :dayum::lol:

Naaahhhh, I jumped on it to push start it and Mother

Anyways, I'm looking to bond a piece from another fender under the cracked area.

Glues I've already tried on a test fender:

    Super Glue.

Cristy's PVC pipe red hot Glue. :idiot:

    5 minute epoxy.

    Shoe Goo.

None of these are working. :thumb:

I think it would have to be a HOT glue to adhere to the fender.

    Any ideas guy? :dunno:

    Thanks,

    R-

One thing that MIGHT work is a 2 part epoxy for plastic called plastic fusion or plastic welder. If you get the right stuff you will know, the wierdest smelling stuff a smart fellow ever smelt.... Seriously it has a strange strong odor. My holding tank hole for the drain fitting was too big for the fitting and I fixed it around 2000-2001 and still holding. It's flexible and resilant unlike regular epoxy that's fairly brittle. Rough it up on the side toward the tire, apply epoxy, add a plastic patch onto the epoxy then add a little more epoxy overlapping the edges of the patch, if the epoxy doesn't stick to the patch very well it will certainly stick to itself.

  5. I bet if you talk to Jamie Fagen, she could point you in the right direction...

I'm with Chet Huffman Motorsports (Jerry Whelchel '08 #1 Pro 2 truck)so can work it that way, just was easy with CORR cause Jim Baldwin made a call and told media relations I was coming over and give me whatever I want, so Tier 1, free entry from Wednesday-Sun, on track, in skyboxes, anywhere, a team member gets in the gate but the other stuff is $. The Media director for this series is Poppy, what does J Fagen do now?

I added the youtube link for Husemans double front flip, check it out

  6. :dope: That's awesome news Lee. Hell yeah.

If I get my lens before that race I'd love to come shoot with you if that's possible. :finger:  Otherwise I'm gonna try and make it out there anyways.

So what's it called now? LOORR?

Exactly what I thought, always thought CORR should be COORs. Now I need to finagle media credentials so I have carte blanche at the races like how Jim Baldwin set me up at CORR. Wonder if there's any crazy Lucas relatives racing now...... :finger:

  7. isnt the stock turbo good to 32??? my maximum is 29.....nothing over that......what is 29 psi gonna do to the turbo???

I run 32 psi boost in the cummins motohome, as long as rpm is close to peak torque and watch EGT's, Some of the hard core cummins guys with the 12v P7100 pump (and ARP studs of course) run over 80 PSI when they have the smoke pedal mashed, lol

  8. CORR racing renamed Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is back. There are 12 races scheduled, six weekends with racing Satuday and Sunday. The inaugural race is April 4th & 5th at the "Pimm Valley Motorsports Complex" (behind Buffalo Bills) Adult admission is $30 each day or $50 for both Saturday and Sunday races AND includes admission on Friday for qualifying. It should be the same CORR style event, most of the CORR competition and administrative directors have the same positions in the new series. There's scheduled races at Speedworld Motorsports Park in Wittman Az and at Kal Gard Motorsports Complex in Lake Elsinore Ca. Lucas Oil and Jim Baldwin (CORR) are in talks to include racing at the "Quarry" in Chula Vista. No online ticket sales yet, onsite only and grandstands are all general admission currently. 9. wow congrats to everybody, sure is allot of babies out there  seems they come in groups when we had our boy now 4 months ago (time flies) there was like 4 others in our group that had babies the same time. Course I think were the only ones that have had there baby at the dunes (he's been 5 times already) :flipoff:

    Congrats again everybody

Maybe 9 months earlier you ran low on firewood and everyone went to their haulers early

  10. Oh heck yeah, That's the best time to take off any carb.

Right on Steve. Yep, Welcome bro. :atc:

Maybe louB would be interested in that seat cover. :flipoff:

Any quad, atc or dirt bike that has had the carb off ran fine at some point before the carb was removed, lol, I did'nt think this till you posted Dog. It's your fault, lol

  11. Just curious how much longer everyone plans on going out to D this season. I know Easter weekend is usually most people's last weekend. I'm planning on cleanup for a day trip, then pobably just one more quiet weekend out there and calling it quits for the season. It will be getting hot out there soon. I know the 70 regatta weekend was pretty warm .

I'll probably do some more day trips especially this summer, but for weekenders I think I'm about done this season. I had an incredible season out there and I'm ready to head to some other places to ride the quads this spring and summer (Little Sahara, Coral Pink, Sand Hollow, etc). I'd also like to get into some other hobbies a little more this summer as well.

  12. I saw this, and thought, there are times i'm out there, and i dont even see a ranger

it just seems so funny to me...what is the authors definition of adequate??

adequate means always more than they are getting, kinda like the politicians after billions in bonds, x$ per sq ft building fees, prop tax, lotto, % of sales tax, $ from the Fed and then they say "We need to fully fund education"

Oh yeah, where do they come up with the "you can't ride on the land of another person without written authorization in your possession in most of San Bernardino Co and then go declare Wild Wash Rd area for off-road use where I have 30 acres?

  13. Shocks wont fix that Tim.

Get 2 100lb sand bags for each corner of the bed.Smooth as can be

The added weight will do it if your springs are stiff, if your tires have the same air pressure front and back, drop the rear pressure down till those tires have the same amount of bulge (sidewall deflection) as the fronts, or get a cowboy hat and stick one arm in the air on the conrete section freeways :clown:

  14. Yes, the day before the auction you can preview the items. Start them inspect them etc.

OK, I guess a good question to ask is ... So you have/know somebody that has a dealer license, So if one of us was interested we would find out when and where the next one that you/whoever is going to, meet up to sync the time and etc for item that's of interest, bring cash only? or different denominations of cashier checks or? Do you/whoever have to be the actual bidder? And is compensation for you/whoever expected, and if so how much? Just trying to get a feel of how it actually goes down so I don't do a cart before the horse trip. Thanks

  15. way cool Steve! Welcome to the club! :atc:

BTW: seats covers are only like 35 bucks too and easy to install. I'm just saying. :flipoff: Ditch that baby blue home made ma facka.

Maybe that's a light blue cover protecting the exotic Western Himalayun fringe toed Iguana leather seat.

That one is resized to 2972x762 for the web but the original on my computer is 11251x2907 (over 98,000,000 bytes) So If it prints without that metamerism that your last one had we'll have a keeper.

  17. I would actually like to see the raw pictures' that have not been touched up,edited, brightened, color corrected etc. Just to see what they look like before fixed.

That's an easy one to answer. Out of the camera resized from 3888x2592 to 1200x800

    post-1632-1236448277_thumb.jpg

You got me thinking, all the brite sand makes the cam compress the range, I should try spot metering for the car and see what happens
