  1. I was pretty humiliated after that guy yelled at me and caused a scene!

Yeah, she was super cool! It would have been a really bad experience if she hadn't helped! :D

Understandable!! Sounds like that dude made the WRONG career choice! :D

  2. Glad that story was BS. What a waste of midgets. It's not like you can go to Walmart and pick a dozen up!!!!! I remember back in the day, the night before Turkey day, they had midget/turkey bowling. They would put little harness' on midgets and you would use them as balls. Then they had frozen turkeys you would use as balls!!!!!! GOOD FUGGIN TIMES THERE!!!!! To bad the good ole USA has become so pussified and PC!!!! :beercheers:

:2cents: I don't care who you are, that there is some funny chit!! :moon: :pissed:

  3. Story of the Day (actually happened yesterday).....

So, I get on the plane, when the flight attendant sees I'm steamed and offers to help me. She listened to my complaint, made sure I still got a decent seat on the plane (I was an "A") and got his name so I could file a complaint (which I did today and got the flight attendant kudos for being so nice).

I hate when these a$$wipes from the airlines think they're God. :beercheers:

Kudos for you for following through!! Also glad you let them know about the flight attendant. Too many people focus on the negative stuff and forget to acknowledge the good things people do!! :2cents:

  4. Kelly, if that ever happens again, slightly turn in to the vehicle to cause as much damage as poss. to the A-hole that hit u!!!!

LOL, if I had seen it coming, maybe I would have!! If it makes you feel any better, she bounced off my Burb and into a 3rd vehicle. That dude didn't stick around for the cops, "had to go home to eat and take his medication"! :beercheers: :moon:

Well, I called her insurance, the guy recorded my statement, and then proceeds to tell me it probably won't be until next week that the adjuster will call me. :2cents: They have 30 days to get the ball rolling on my repairs!! OR, as per my agent, I can have MY insurance handle the claim, pay the $500 deductable out of MY pocket and let MY insurance go after hers and THEN get reimbursed MY $$$. HELL NO!! :pissed: My agent says "unless it's Allstate, it probably won't take that long" and if I don't hear from them by Wednesday to call him back. Now to play the waiting game. :dunno:

  5. Thats sucks! Glad you weren't hurt and her :thumb: insurence is going to pay for it! :laughoff:

Yep, gotta make that call this morning. Never done this before so I had to ask the cop how to go about it. We'll see how long this is going to take to get it fixed and lookin' purdy again. :laughoff:

  6. I didn't have a recent one worthy of this thread til today. About 5:45 this evening, I'm heading south on Rainbow to take my daughter and her friend to a meeting. Just passed Lake Mead, this little ol' black Honda Element decides she's entitled to my lane of travel and takes out the passenger side of my Burb!! She's stuck behind a bus at a stop and swears she didn't see me, or the other guy she nicked too. Dumb sh*t, told the cop it wasn't her fault, she was signaling!! :laughoff: He told her doesn't matter, I had the right-of-way. Good news is no one got hurt, just shook me up pretty good, damage isn't major, still drivable, dent under the side-view mirror, totalled my running board and left a gnarly scrape from the back door on! I'm pretty sure it was that poor running board that flattened her front tire. :thumb: Oh, and HER insurance is gonna pay for it!! :yiah:

  7. I went grocery shopping today, A job I would rather take a beating for then do, anyway my cantaloupe fell out of the bag and rolled under my truck then out again and down the parking lot. :headbang1::lol:

Looking stupid, chasing down a cantaloup. At least the watermelon stayed in place.

:dope: I can SOOOO picture that in my head!! :dope: Reminds me of when I chased bottles of vitamin water that rolled out the back of my Burb, down the driveway, and into the street just the other day!!

Got back from Alaska.. not today, but this is the first time I have had a chance to pst up...

:ah: Holy crap!! Them are some BIIIIGGG fishies!! :black:

  8. Just like last year, this season will consist of mostly off weekends for us. As soon as we get the school calender, ie: teacher in-service days, school holidays, etc., we plan our trips around that. Always cool to get a jump start on the Californians. ;) Affordability is a HUGE factor, as it is for everyone I'm sure, so every trip will require maximum participation. :D:headbang1:

  9. We are going to end up rolling everything into state farm from the quick research i did they seem to be the best as of now. And see if anything changes next year as far as rates go.. :D

Make sure you 'up' your insurance as the value in your house goes up! When we refinanced in 2004, we found out we were WAAAAYYYYY underinsured because the value had more than doubled from 1998 when we first bought it. :headbang1:

  10. Dinicolady back in the house!!!! Where the heck have you been??? Good to have you back :headbang1::lol:

 Tiff!! Mostly lurking, not much posting!! Missed a lot of good stuff!! (Davey keeps me updated pretty good ;) ) :D

Not always will it be the cheapest though.

Yes discounts apply, but if their rates are way more than other companies to begin with, it doesn't really matter how much the discount is. It's the premium that matters first. :D

Yeppers, you are cor-rect-o-mundo!! We are like you, homeowner's insurance with one company (best premium), the vehicles with another. When we bought the motorcycle, we were VERY limited on who would insure it (Progressive). Same with the hauler. The quads were just too much $$$ to insure for what we would get for them. So, if my house burns down, the tools/toolbox and motorcycle in the garage is insured, but not the quads. The hauler is fully covered for like $42 a month for the full value we paid for it. Correction, the full MSRP, not what we actually paid!

  11. Homeowner's Insurance is separate from Mortgage Insurance. You should have what they call an "Escrow Account" in every statement wherein they roll some of your payment over into a type of savings account for HO insurance, property taxes, etc. that come around. Sometimes people don't have this because they don't want to mess with it, but I would rather pay a little extra every month to make sure it's there and all taken care of by THEM!!

Yeppers, one less check to cry over every month!! Very convenient to have the mortgage co pay the insurance and taxes. Wouldn't do it any other way.

When we were still with Prudential, we received a cancellation notice on our homeowner's policy! I called our agent and he handled the whole problem. Ins company didn't receive the check....mtg co stopped payment....issued new check....problem solved. No $ outta my pocket. Left Prudential down the road anyways. Oh well. :laughoff:

Nick, combining all your insurance with one company WILL save you money. Multi-policy discounts apply. We did have an issue, however, because not all companies will insure motorcycles, let alone our toyhauler and/or quads. Pays to shop around! :thumb:

Good luck with your new home, congrats!! :D:lol:

  12. :ah: :laughoff: Sorry Steve, that is pretty effen funny though..... :dope: I've also heard the story (don't know if it's true or not) of a disgruntled ex sticking raw shrimp inside the curtain rods before leaving her house to her cheating ex-husband..... They could never figure out where the stench was coming from, so he and his new girlfriend sold the house, but they insisted on taking all the window treatments (curtains) with them.....sooo....needless to say the new house smelled like a$$ too!!!

I heard that story too!! <Quite the clever hiding place in my opinion> What goes around, comes around. :D

Well I don't have a crazy X story. Luckily mine just up & split and I never saw her ever EVER again. I took it pretty hard at the time, but it only made me that much stronger of a person. Ends up it was the best damn thing that ever happened to me. Without her bailing out of my life, I probably would have never met the coolest damn woman in the world....Anna monkie. I'm SO glad it worked out that way.

ALL things happen for a reason!! :thumb::D

Yeppers, we do!! That would be Mike. Hubby worked with him at NDOT until he quit to get back into ordinance disposal for some company. He's super cool <nuts> and last I heard, he had that pinzgauer up for sale.
