  1. Hey Dunfreak are you making fun of my .5 hp. well I take everything that I can get when it comes to moving my fat a$$. Dreamerr......my carb is bored out to a 42 and its pretty cheep if you want the name of the guy who did it let me know. I wasnt knocking your pipe and truthfully I havent heard anything about them, but I do know that most pipes are low to mid and for dragging your going to want a top. Also I hear ya about the need to always be dreaming, oh cant wait to order my LT buggy (two years ohhhhh two moreyears :freakin_nuts: ). Later
  2. Leaving in the moring and cant wait. Im not sure where Im camping but thinking in the first fingar. Just look for a warrior 5er with a american flag and maybe a tony stewart flag too (dont ask its for a friend of mine) but come on by and say hey. Oh and my name is Danny :freakin_nuts:
  3. I call BS on the 62 hp too. There is no way. But Dreamer if all you want to spend is 300 and be the fastest on the hill, I hate to sound rude but keep dreaming. go to http://yfztech.com/ order a fuel customs intake do the cam mod and get it dyno tuned. You will be close to 300 dollers. But if you want more your going to have to go internal. Oh and unless you go big with the motor the cams will only net you 1 hp, and for the 400 its going to cost you I would invest in boring out your FCR carb or buying a better pipe. My bike is all external and all im putting out is 48.5 hp and I have the dyno sheets to prove it. If you have anymore questions just let me know.
  4. Wow its going to be hot, I think it will be shorts and beer all weekend, wooho cant wait. Im thinking we will be in the first finger too but I will be flying and American flag and maybe a Stewert flag too.
  5. well I can help you out with the fuel bowl drain screw but as far as the ride, I cant. I should be in dumont until Sunday than we are headed to Sin City for the big race. As far as the fuel pet c*ck, most bike has the same pet c*ck but with a shut off. Suzuki uses a vacume draw to the carb and does not have a shut off to it. So " normally " you can turn the pet c*ck horizontal and shut all fuel to the carb but with a Zui you cant and thats why you have to drain the fuel in the carb first. But other than that I still wouldnt put my bikes standinng up, but thats just me. But as far as riding I wish you could go next weekend. We could get you set up and than you could go back to your group and show them whats up. So really try. I cant make it for the clean up even though I wish I could. I hope someone there will take you underneith their wing.
  6. Hey Pete I can use a sticker too, what size do they come in and how can I pay
  7. Is it done yet and how does it sound. I bet JL amps rock too, in my opinon there subs kick azz
  8. Come out next weekend and you can ride with us, will show you the ropes. Ive been riding for 29 years and were very patient, Ive taught many to ride both dirt bikes and quads.
  9. You should be able to take the old screw to any parts house or hardware store and match it with a allen. I dont think its anything special and one more thing. I wouldnt be standing your bike up with out a fuel shut off. Stupid Zuki put that vacume crap on these bikes, but you can buy a inline one from a bike shop.
  10. We should be there sometime on Thursday, mabe late or earlier. All depends on if I have work or not. But I will be driving my white w/ a blue stripe on the bottom F-250 and pulling my warrior 5 er. Were keeping the bikes at home so will only have quads. A cage car, that should be some good times.
  11. Im a chevy guy but I own a ford for one reason. Because of the front end ( aka chevy) If I wanted 1/2 ton four wheel drive I would have bought one. Straight axel all the way, but the max and allison are a great combo, but I still smoke them up the hills. BUt of course I had to dump over 3 grand in my tranny.
  12. Yeah I thought the same way you did until last summer and a friend of mine hooked me up and wow what a diffrance. I have two 800's one for a 12" JL and the other for 4 6" and 4 mid and highs. My boat really rocks now
  13. Ive tried a few diffrant setups in my boat but ended up with ZAPCO, is by far the cleanest sounding.
  14. Yup were looking forward to a nice quiet ( and good riding ) weekend too. Going to throw back many a silver bullets. Where is everyone planing on camping.
  15. Must be a parking lot sale at the super walmart there in Hendertucky to keep you all at home
  16. I wouldnt worry about stainless or titanium either will work good for you. Now diff between slip on and full system is all in price and HP. If you can afford it get the full, but you will only gain 1 maybe 2 horse over the slip on. But if you plan on going big with your build go with a full because when you start pumping and burning more fuel you will need the better and bigger head pipe. All my reserch on for our 400 Im going with a full system. But if your on a budget I would just stick with a slip on and run it. Hey my son has a black 07 just like yours, he loves his bike.
  17. Hey nlvredneck let me know what you did to yours too, Im going to start moding my sons so he stays of my 450.
  18. Well if they are at 4 and pulling hard without boging the bike than you should be fine or you could go down to 3 and try that. You want them to float with out hooking up so good that they pull the motor down. to. I know when I play on my sons and I dig it in it pulls right out, but he is running sand skate II. My other son has sand stars on his bike and to me I think they suck ( to hard and heavy) but he only weighs 50 lbs and rides a built blaster so he can go anywhere he wants. So im not going to chang them. When I pipe my sons 400 Im going to go with a sparks on his. A friend of mine just bought a Yoshi for his wifes and it was jsut a bolt on deal and did help on the low to mid. He left the air box alone so there was no need to jet it. Yoshi are good but Im wanting to try something diffrent for ours. Also Ive ran across your post a few and noticed that this bike is new to you. You have to remember that your 400 doest have the HP or TQ a 450 has and the 400 love to be reved high to get into the power. So try riding it like you stole it. . Trust me it can take it.
  19. I will be heading down Thursday night and were going to ride Friday and Saturday than on Sunday were heading into Vegas to the race Back to the dunes and heading home on Monday. I would like to meet some DDR crews if possible and do some major drinking. Will be just me and a couple of buddies, no kids. Should be a good time.
  20. Hey Foxy if you want to start to build your bike I think its great but Im thinking your getting stuck prob maybe tires and or tire presure. My son rides a stock LTZ and can ride any dune there at Dumont with no problems. So check your presures you should be around 4 to 6 lbs and make sure you play with the presures because a pound can make a huge diffrance. Also what paddles are you running?
  21. This will be your next best friend http://yfztech.com/ well right behind DDR I guess. Also you can list your mods and your alltitude and Im sure a few of us on this board can get you close.
  22. Like they have been telling you its all depends on your riding style and what you plan on doing with it. In my opinon if all your going to do is hill shoot and drag get a YFZ, they are they easiest to get 10 more Hp for $500. Hondas are good all around bike but if you want to drag you need to go a little further to make them fast. I havent riden a new zuki but they look like the perform well riding but not as popular at the drag strip. But if you want a more comfortable ride but with some decent power look at the raptor but make sure its a 700, they are way diffrent than the old 660. I ride dirt bikes and have a YFZ for duning and dragging and I would do the same agin. Or you could just bow down to age like I am starting to and buy a rhino
