  1. I didnt know that Trickyls-2racer new how to use a torque wrench. He is a driver. They are signing autographs when the rest of us are working. Proper torque is the key to checking bolts as long as you are not using loctite etc. then it is a waste of money.

  2. I check mine after every trip.I also do a walk around and check major componets every morning while at the dunes.

Also it helps to make sure you are running the correct shoulder length for your bolts. Dont trust no one about things like that not even the builder.

  3. I agree that 6% is a big cut for school teachers when they are helping to educate the adults of tommarrow.

But on the other hand I have taken a 20% pay cut loss my monthly truck allowense and nobody contributes to my 401k but me.

I hope every body makes it through this with as little trouble or loss as possible. I sure as hell dont want to have to try and sale my toys.

  4. I understand what you are saying and that is fine. They seem like realy good people that go out of there way to help others. If they are just bitching to be heard then owhale for them but this weekend seeing that the only way people could get medical help was from them bring it to them in the rhino that means something.

  5. I am not trying to start anything but I am curious as to what other people think and is there anything we can do about this problem ourselves.

While talking with the camp host this weekend he informed me that he has had to pay for tires for the rescue rhino out of hie pocket. This is the same rhino that helps get medical help to our fellow dunners when needed. He also told me that the blm finds no ergency to get supplies out to them when he request like fuel for the rhino the fencing that goes around his area to help keep it clear.

These people are not there to just clean bathrooms and crap like that. They go out of there way to help people when they need it.

  6. Not to sound like a jerk but I talked with the camp host and the officers and the man had been drinking and the people in his camp let him take off by himself earlier and then they all went to bed and didnt report him missing until he was found sat. morning.

Flight for life was out 2 times this weekend once for a broken back on Saturday then today for a broken hip and possibel internal injuries.

I have never seen the dunes with as many whitch eyes etc.

  7. I have had both and would rather have a motorhome over a trailer. For the person that thinks you are allowed to carrie people in your trailer while in motoin you might want to call your local highway patrol because we did and in the state of Nevada you can not have any body in your trailer while it is being towed.

  8. I also find myself thinking of the safety of family and friends when we are at the dunes. We lost a good friend a few years ago at glamis and I thought that would be the end of dunning but it wasnt. Bottom line is I agree with Pete there is danger in anything we do. the more people we have at the dunes like yourself that are concernd about safety hopefully will make it a safer place in the future for all of us.

  9. Ok I have a 2000 3.5 Honda with a Link ecu and the motor has been running warmer than normal and also running lean. Fuel pressure is good and no vacum leaks that I have found. Motor is lacking power on the top end also. Checked everything I can think of and only found the o2 sensor to be giving a bad voltage signal so I replaced it and nothing changed. I also have the program to plug my ECU into my laptop but am not real familar with it so not sure what to do. Any help would be much appreciated.
