  1. Again someone is talking smack about something they know nothing about!!!! :beercheers: The guy in the rail did not go to jail. They did put him in the ranger car, but just to check that he wasn't drinking. He was let go after they found he had nothing to drink. It sounds to me like you don't like rail riders. What the hell is a geo tracker doing going up the dunes anyway? :beercheers::DDRrocks:

    well i was told he went to jail i did not see it happen so i could be wrong . but for the remark i dont like rail riders i have had many rails and i am finishing my lt rail now . i have been going to dumont and glamis for over 18 years . over the last few years there are a lot more inconsiderate idiots out there. i dont like all that i see out there but the dunes are for all and not just a few if you have one wheel or five slow or fast no one should tell you that you cant be there or go up the hill or be in the dunes it about having fun but may be you dont like other duners :(

  2. I think you guys are right, there is a way you should come up and down the hill but you should always watch for other people coming down going up or what ever else they are doing. I see alot of people come down the wrong way but that doesent mean that i run right into them....

    most of the rails racing up the hill go up the right side and then cut to the left (short of all the way to the top) and cut every one off . last year a rail did just that and hit a geo tracker the guy in the rail went to jail . what for i dont know. we all need to be careful just because you spend all that $$$ on your toy you dont own dumont . now if a quad and a rhino are going down the hill at about 3 to 5 mph and a rail is going at 50 mph + and has to swerve to hit the rhino ??????? thats like hitting a rock and saying the rock jumped in front of me :eatdrink021: well we all cant have common sense .

  3. Bruce, we rode Sperry wash trail to the talc mine and the end of the wash trail. I believe but did not ride towards the Tecopa road that the only thing between the talc mine and the road is the Tecopa dump.

    However if you bear to the right at the V of the mines(there's one to the left and one to the right) and stay in the wash there is a trail thru the wash that looks like it goes away's. We did not go that way so that may be what your referring to. You have to be careful because most if not all of the area off of the trail is CLOSED. Wash is a fun ride.

    There is an actual mine over by the little dunes, might that be the one your talking about?

    its that way but at the end of the dirt road you go RIGHT on the paved ROAD TO THE END AND THEN YOU go left and then right on a dirt road and at the top of the hill there are 2 mines i walk one of them about 25 min in to it it cool there are small train tracks in there and out side there is a cool looking bridge all out of wood it old and not all there but it cool to explore.

  4. ok red this is easy it will cost you roughly 2000 to fix go to a hitch shop have a hitch installed on the back of your toy hauler roughly 500 bucks or less go to carson trailer or similar by a 16'x102" trailer you will have both there pull doubles keep it at 55 you wont have any troubles :freakin_nuts:

    you can even make it cheaper borrow a busy buddies trailer then your only out the cost of a hitch. :beercheers:

    or rent a car trailer :drinkbeer:

    he cant do that the first trailer has to be a fithwheel and you have to have a class a in C.A.

  5. I cant believe it......My boy Magnus broke his tibia in his left leg. Its a spiral fracture up close to his knee. He is only 15 months old. Jen took the kids to the park, she was going down a slide with him on her lap and his shoe caught the slide edge (twisty slide) and pulled his foot backwards. After a knap he still wouldnt stand on it, so a trip to urgent care confirmed the break. He doesnt care much, but he sure wont sleep very long. We are still planning on going prez day but he will have to stay home with grandma.

    :coocoo::laughing:

    I knew it would happen, he is 100% boy, but man I didnt think it would happen this quick.

    :(:(

    hope he will be ok god bles :laughing:

  6. was in the garage tinkering with the rail. and started looking at the paddles. they are ate up like freddy krugers face. :laughing: does anyone know if there will be vendors out there(dumont) selling paddles? I have one new one, but I cant see myself putting on the new one. I will be doing doughnuts all day long. :laughing: the tires did ok last time we were out there. but a new set would really set it off.

    Or does anyone know of a place that overnights? I can order it on monday.

    if you are pulling your trailer with a truck they sell a ramp kit that you can haul your rail on the truck
