  1. Ok I'm going to leave this alone too after this post. I didn't leave him stranded he had to other sandrails there they had a plan to go back and get the welder and do some field work to get him going. My son broke his collar bone three weeks ago and was not cleared by me to ride his quad so I kept him close and was just cruzing when this happened. I do feel bad about what happened If Neal feels I was being crazy and acted out of line I will work that out with him. I still don't think either of us was going faster then 10 MPH which the way we hit makes it 20MPH. I feel lucky no one was hurt, I really do feel they had a plan when I left and if I miss read that I appolgize to Neal. I don't know free agent and he doesn't know me but I think we all have the same love of duning, slamming me without knowing me or having all the facts just isn't right. If Neal needs to get ahold of me I'm sure the folks at DDR can give him my email. I'm not running I'm not irresponsible I'm a Dad and try to really watch whats going on. This was just a blind spot that was an accident.
  2. Hey everyone I was the other car that was in the crash. Just so everyone is clear I didn't run I stopped. I wasn't drinking just got there first run. I didn't blame anyone. It was an Accident, I was following my friend and came over the dune on my blind side and there was a car I went left trying to go back up and he went down we just hit in a bad spot. at maybe 5 or 7 MPH. I tried to help but the guy had friends there and when I asked if he needed anything he asked me for a Cig. I don't smoke so I could'nt help there. I left because my son had a broken collar bone (not from this crash from snowboarding) He was hurting and I didn't want to stay out and watch with him hurting. I have been dunibg for 6 years and think I'm pretty responsible guy, I'm sorry that this happened. My car was broken all weekend too. I was campping with Jason and he knws I wouldn't just run away. Dave
  3. The big bomb was 4 big ballons filled with Oxygen and Acetylene. We camped next to the people and went over and asked WTF. It was preety cool though.
  4. Just to get a couple of things straight Ray is almost 15 and has been riding for 10 years. He wasn't alone he was with some other teenagers from camp, he started out with some adults that broke down and ended up without adults from our camp but with people like Ryan around that care about our sport and are willing to help someone out.it gives me hope that duners don't turn there heads on people in need. Don't get me wrong I feel responsible anytime something bad happens to my two boys. I would like to say that keeping the raines on a 15 year old is hard if not impossible when they are doing something that is in there blood. I can say that I have been growing more concerned about the amount of people on these busy weekends and don't think Ray will be racing at Comp on these crazy weekends. I can also say that S#@t happens and I hope we all learn from our mistakes we make in life.
  5. Hey all Ray's Dad here. Just want to say that I have been hanging out at this sight for a few years and always love the info, that being said I really want to thank the guy that took my boy to the BLM. (sorry about the blood) Ray is doing great, he has that teenage additude and I don't think anything is going to stop him from doing what he loves. (maybe Mom can slow him down but never stop him) Here's a quick update, the doctors called today and after looking closer at the X-rays they think he might have a fractured wrist and they want to take a closer look at his shoulder. We will know more tomorrow, maybe I'll have Ray post an update about what they tell us. His arm is in a sling and I think he will have a pretty good scar, I think it will look like a V from around his elbow down to inside his bicept. anyways thanks for all the support and we will keep everyone posted on his progress. Dave
  6. Hi this is the mother of the 14 year old boy you picked up from comp. His name is raymond. I would first like to thank you very much for taking him to the BLM. Ok so for his injuries his bicept was exposed but it was not missing he just missed his artery and severed a major vein but he will be ok it was a grusome flesh wound. they were able to close the wound and they do not think he will have too many difficulties recovering. again thank you for your help.
