Very cool and well done.

The Scan Gauge II code reader works great on my piece of sh!t Ford 6.0 and all of its codes but for some reason it picked up the Chevy code as a B2AAA. I borrowed a Snap On code reader from work and the real code is P0121, throttle position sensor. Now I just need to figure out what it'll take to correct it. Any ideas?

My wife's 07 Suburban (5.3 liter) keeps throwing code B2AAA per my Scan Gauge II. My friend Google says this is a non-existent mystery code. Any ideas on what to look for besides another code reader or a trip to the dealer?

Just got back myself. Great weather, minimal crowds, decent sand and good times.

I like it, looks like Herman Munster's rail/rod. GLWTS.

Just got off the phone with the Barstow BLM. The entire weekend is not fee free as it has been in years past but Veterans day itself, which is Tuesday the 11th is free.

Responsible parents watch their (kids) at all times. They also don't let young people operate equipment unsupervised. Friends watch friends for possible stupid choices. They don't throw back another beverage and laugh like hell as it starts. Usually turns out being a statistic Show some "Nads" and look out for each other!
P.S. A "Kid' is determined by ability, intelligence and upbringing....... not just age!
I agree with you 100% but we all know how quickly a responsible adult can lose track of a kid and something tragic can happen. Does that make the adult that was watching irresponsible or does the responsibility lie on the person that was running wide open past someone's camp? If common sense were common, everyone would have it (and use it).

Slow down around camps (the law is 15 mph within 50 feet). Kids are cruising around honing their riding skills and usually have their own hands full in doing so. That being said, they aren't the best at paying attention to their surroundings and are certainly not watching for an a$$hat driving by wide open.

In this case I think he means V-day = Veteran's Day
You are exactly right Pete. V-day does mean Veterans Day. If I made the other V-day a Dumont trip I'd probably be single or riding the couch and able to go all the time but wouldn't be getting any V so I'll stick with V for Veterans and we'll make other trips at TG, NY, MLK and P. Anyone need any more definitions?

Although I don't own or operate a 2 passenger ATV other than our RZR, this could have far reaching implications into our sport the same way it did when the government got involved with three wheelers back in the 1980's.

Veterans is the plan for us. Past V-day weekends have been free pass weekends through the BLM. Any word on that this year from anyone?

Although I didn't know Bert, from reading all your stories and seeing the pictures posted, it's overwhelmingly evident that he truly was a great guy that left this world way to early and that he will be missed by many. Condolences and prayers to his family and friends.

I'm curious how much you got for it? I'm going to be listing my 35' WW soon and am watching other sales of similar 5th wheels to see how they're going for.

5.3 centered in La Habra, CA. Did you feel it? I felt it...what did it feel like to you? What did you do the moment it hit? Did it rock, roll or rumble? Was it a jolt or did it sway? It's supposed to rain next Tuesday, so we're on storm watch. Are you prepared for the rain or the next big earthquake? These were all local So Cal news quotes and comments this evening.

Do you subscribe to Sand Sports? If not, why? I did a few years ago but didn't renew as the same articles seemed to be rehashed year after year
What type of content would you like to see? More SxS's, budget rails and project cars the average guy can relate to.
Any current content you don't like? Although the high dollar rails are nice to read about and look at I don't think they are realistic for a lot of duners.

Stock cage or aftermarket cage, the argument could continue forever but the reality is that no amount of protection, signs, videos, warnings, etc. can or will suffice for every type of accident or Darwinesque move imaginable. Common sense must prevail. Thoughts and prayers to the friends, family and those involved in this lapse of judgement than can never be undone.
Unfortunately, we're our own worst enemies when it comes to incidents like these as big brother and others that know what's good for us are ready and willing to pounce and write new laws in an effort to curtail our freedoms to keep us all safe from everything imaginable.

That must have been the annual LEO Baker to Vegas run that draws people from all over the country. You or I would be guaranteed a parking ticket but some laws don't apply to others.

Great info. I figured I was safe with no windows and no rope but anyone that knows what they're doing can get in whether there are windows, a rope or not. Thanks!

As decent, hardworking Americans, it's the least we can do for our country and it only takes a few minutes to hopefully make a difference. Unless you're a 13 year old girl, you to should sign the petition below.

Interestingly, I've been going to Dumont for over 30 years now and have never had an issue with the BLM or the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Dept. In my opinion, this all goes back to the golden rule most of us learned when we were growing up, due unto others, follow the rules and treat everyone with respect, including law enforcement. This past weekend, my interaction with the BLM was at the permit station on Saturday night when I arrived, and on Sunday morning in my RZR when I was running wide open up the canyon road and encountered a ranger. I slowed down, waved to them as we passed each other and they waved back. Leaving the dunes yesterday morning I gave a friendly wave, pointed to my displayed permit and received a thank you and a wave back. I firmly believe that if one doesn't follow the rules, presents an azzhat attitude and still expects respect from those that are only doing their job will get the complete opposite.

I sold the 250 and 350 we had pretty quickly in September and finally picked up a Raptor 700 after many weeks of searching. It's a 2008 SE model with very low hours, a brand new never used set of paddles and ribs and a set of ramps for $4500. My boys are stoked and ready for our New Years trip. Thanks for all the info on YFZ 450's and 700's.
