Sunrise Boat and RV Storage on East Lake Mead and Sloan (near Hollywood) was the cheapest place I could find to store mine before I moved into my new place. I was paying $69 a month for an uncovered space. All the places I looked at in Hendo were too much money.

Was it pretty cold at night?

Yeah, I think it was in the 30's for the low, but the highs were in the 60's.

It looks like our group is going! I'm a NooB here so I don't know any of you yet.

I just got everything unloaded from my trip out to Dumont. What an awesome weekend we had. There were quite a few people out there. Here's some pics from today...

Ouch! That looks like it had to hurt. He's lucky no one got killed.

1. If you have Carlisle Tires, replace them right away! We had a blowout our second trip out with our Rage'n and it did some damage! On the plus side, Carlisle paid for all the damages and replaced all our tires. We sold the new tires and bought Goodyear Marathons and have been happy ever since.

2. Definately get a built in generator if you can, and get a 4K or larger if you want to run your a/c.

3. You can never have enough battery power. Conserve power as much as possible or you will have dead batteries and no furnace in the morning.

4. Driving fast over railroad tracks will break leaf springs.

5. Lock up all your toys. Theives are everywhere.

6. Bring extra drinking water and food just in case you break down and are stuck out in the middle of nowhere!

7. Make sure you are within the weight carrying capacity of your trailer. Weigh your rig at a truck stop to be sure.

Don't waste your money. That truck should be more than capable of hauling any toys you have just fine, and then some. I know my Dodge has more power than I will ever need and the new Duramax has more than the Cummins. Have fun and keep your warranty.

I've been out there one other Christmas and there were only a handful of peeps out there. It should be nice and peaceful compared to what New Years and Presidents Day will be like.

I'm planning on going to Dumont Christmas weekend. I will be there Sunday, Dec 24 and Monday, Dec 25. Just wondering if anyone else is planning to go out there? I've been there X-mas before and it wasn't too bad.
