  1. I am on my second Dodge Cummins and have been very happy with both of them. My 2002 was great, but I needed a larger truck so I bought a 3500 this time so I could tow legally within the trucks limits.

If I was shopping for a brand new truck right now, I think I would go with a gasser due to all the new emissions B.S. they are putting on the diesel trucks now. Add to that the extra $5-6,000 the diesel costs, the more expensive fuel (diesel used to be cheaper than unleaded when I bought my first), the extra maintanence, and fuel mileage that is close to todays gas engines it doesn't really make sense to buy diesel anymore. Diesels used to get great mileage but they just don't anymore due to emissions. Now if you bought used, IMO diesel would make more sense. Just do some research if you do make the jump, because all three makes have had some problems over the years. Duramax had injector issues, the Powerstroke had numerous issues with the 6.0, and the Cummins (98-02) like to eat fuel pumps just to name a few.

  2. I would recommend running Stabil in your gas tank so the generator's carb doesn't get gummed up. Also, starting the gen up once every two weeks for about 15 minutes will keep things good. If the carb does get gummed up, removing it isn't that difficult. Usually, the solenoid at the bottom of the float bowl is the culprit, but the altitude adjuster has a needle valve that is prone to clogging too. BTW, Onan is made by Cummins. These gens are good if you take care of them.

  3. I'm looking to have my spare transmission rebuilt for my 88 Mazda MX-6 turbo. It is a 5 speed manual and I think the synchros are shot. It doesn't want to go into 3rd or 4th, but will go in if its jammed in. The transmission in the car now is acting up (different problem), so I want to have one ready when it goes. I'm just looking for a reputable shop that fix this thing for a decent price. Thanks :beer_bang:

  4. I run the 5/16" stiffy in a billet quick release mount. It goes in pretty far into the mount. :thumb:

This is what I run too. Never broke one and it makes removing the flag so easy when loading the quads in the toyhauler. I bought the Stiffy flags and billet mounts at the Yamaha dealer on Boulder Hwy in Henderson. Money well spent IMO.

  5. Just a heads up for you Zilla peeps who didn't see in the Stolen section, my buddies Zilla got stolen from his house. Some a-holes broke into his house and stole his 88 Zilla and his CR500 dirtbike. He didn't have the stuff locked up, although I doubt that would have stopped them. :argue:

His quad was an 88 with chrome A-arms, foot pegs, and rear grab bar. The seat was recovered with the yellow/blue flames. His plastics were cut very similar to mine. It has a DG front bumper. This is the only pic I have of his quad...

It was taken on the NW side of Las Vegas. Please keep an eye out for it. The thieves got the title too, so they may try to pass it off as if they are the owners.

  6. I have a pic of the quad, but it is a crappy cell phone picture. Unfortunately it is the only one I could get.

    Here is some more info:

The quad is a 1988 LT500R. It has a DG front bumper and a yellow seat with blue flames. The A-arms have been chromed. It has Paul Turner Pipes on it. The front fenders have been trimmed of the dumbo ears.

  7. His house is in the area of North Decatur and the 215. Grand Teton and Decatur to be precise. Las Vegas. They got his computer too so I am going to have to drive over there to get pics and upload them from my comp. Unfortunately I live in Boulder City so it might be a few hours.

  8. My bro's house got broken into today and the theives took his Quadzilla and Honda CR500 dirtbike. If anyone has any information call me anytime!! ((702)) 274 1214. The Quadzilla was in immac condition with chrome a-arms and a flame seat cover. The Honda dirtbike was immac also. I will try to get pics up here if I can. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

BTW, I have already checked on Craigslist and found nothing but will keep looking there. These quads are rare so I hope somebody will see it and call.

  9. Well said Terry. Don't forget to blame the greenies that don't allow us to build refineries, or drill for our own oil.

I'm with you there. The US is sitting on a whole lot of oil but we cannot even touch it.

The Sierra Club is trying to stop the power companies from building any more coal fired power plants in Nevada. Bye bye cheap power. They also held up freeway construction here on the 95 freeway for about a year with a lawsuit claiming that a wider freeway would cause more pollution.

  10. It's an '06. Warranty was transferred at time of purchase.

Just more tires to buy! :shocked2:

How do you like the Rage'n? We bought the Blaze'n just before Warrior bought out National RV's Towable division. We love it. And Warrior has been right on with the couple of problems we did have.

We're happy with the Rage'N and ours is a National RV too. The only problem we've had was with the Carlisle tires that were on it originally. It's riding on Goodyears now. It does look like the tongue might be bending a little so that could be a problem in the future. We're not sure what to do as this thing has a lot of tongue weight even with the toys in the back. :bs:
