  1. Except for a few buggies and quads and along with Big Guns and his crew we had Dumont all to ourselves this weekend.

My son Trevors first trip back to Dumont since shoulder surgery to remove a broken glass catheter from a botched surgery.

The corrective surgery has gone well for him.

We ran the AC for a few hours and had a long lunch in the RV's mid day, but several morning, late day, evening and night rides worked out nicely.

Stock Rzr S with our 9 year old riding Shotgun.

Shot with a cheap-O pocket cam:

  2. If they get caught and prosecuted chances are nothing will really happen so you have to be pre-active.

We use cables and Kryptonyte FAGETTA'bout it chains.

Then corral the rides with tow vehicles.

I can almost guarantee you'll get visited in the night in Glamis by thieves.

Dumont it seems to be happening more and more.

And it happens no mater where you camp.

Don't make it easy for them.

    They'll take anything and everything.

  3. Not entirely true, I got popped for a DUI 5 years ago and worked for a dealer in the sales dept for 10+ years. If your good and make them money theres a way around everything :)

Understand it's all change last year.

But I'm just going on friends tales.

  4. Ya gotta look at it one step closer.

If ya work for a car dealer you will become un-insurable for 10 years,, and that means un-employable.

If your work requires transportation, you will be un-insurable for 10 years.

    That means un-employable.

I know talented diesel mechanics that can NOT work because of their DUI from years ago.

Save the boozing for when your are done riding.

It's a blast buzzing across the dunes with a buzz on,, but it ain't worth the consequences if you get pop'd.

  5. I wonder if the 08 09 front end will fit on the 10 model? I see lots of peeps buying after market plastics for these ugly things.

    Yep, there it is.

    Kawai makes a nice unit.

But buying one usually means busting it down, equipping it with much extra expense and getting it dune savvy.

Now the front end will be yet another expense to consider.

  6. The Tupperware and duct on the new Rzr S is vastly improved over the early Rzr's.

A K&N is essential in the sand though.

    Takes a minute to install.

The stock paper filter just doesn't cut it.

  7. It's coming. What Bruton wants Bruton gets. It will be a package deal along with Kentucky getting it's first date. Vegas supports the sport and needs a second date.

Fontucky can barely get the stands three quarters full, even with a Chase date. Vegas should host the final Chase race and then have the awards banquet a couple of days later. New York most definitely does not deserve to host the banquet.

I'll be at Fontana in two weeks but it's against my better judgement.

A hell of a good take!

  8. If ya really want to see most people dark side:

Wait until ya inherit your folks house,,, rent it out,, then the situation with the renters gets real ugly real quick.

Having said that, we always try and lend some assistance when folks are stuck in the dunes.

A young family was buried to the body in their new Subaru wagon.

We yanked them out, but they could'a spent the night there had we not stumbled along.

Not a thank you or a go-to-hell from them. Nothin'.

    Damfino.
