  1. Found the trans problem. A bad solenoid. The early Allisons take a few seconds to ramp up fluid pressure causing the check engine light to come on. Just a nuisance. Nothing wrong with the trans.
  2. Was just kidding Pete. Loosen up. A sense of humor would serve you well.
  3. That's a great one. How about this?: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
  4. Chrystal tweekers. They'll steal from anyone,, even your childs stuff.
  5. The D90 Nikon is often available at COSTCO, and they throw a lot of extras in with it. They roll a pallet full of them on the floor,, and within a day or two sold out. Perhaps check there first. if you don't like it, you can simply return it. The Nikon is the way to roll if ya got the dough. They ain't cheap, but the people walk up, they know it's the camera they want and pricing, and the extras,, and they grab them up.
  6. It's been written and I've been told that some of the weaker parts are now machined from forged instead of from cast. Also Tig welds are replacing spot welds, and some other improvements. In our case a retaining ring broke causing damage to the shift dogs and some gears. Evidently it's told, the replacement parts are noticeably improved versions over the damaged. If you start using oil, have the dealer run the check to see if your rings went south from intake air contamination. That's all free and covered under warranty. But,, and that's a big but, put the stock paper air filter back in when returning it to the dealer. Make sure ya are not running stock air filter in the dunes. I'm using the Rzr specified K&N that comes with the outerware and sealing grease. Yeah, the rzr S hav their mulligans, but no matter, it's a teriffic duner, and the company fixes problems with improved parts with no hassle. Couldn't say that about Yamaha with the first edition Raptor so many of us got burned on. It's all good with the rzr S
  7. We just got our Rzr S fixed under the extended warranty. Blown tranny at a little over 368 miles. That's only about 8 hours run time BTW. The Rzr S has some unavoidable demons that will eventually haunt your bank account except with the extended warranty. The standard warranty is 6 months, we extended ours an additional 5 years for about $536 and it is paying off. Pays off again when ya sell it and have some transferable time left on the warranty. Helps ya stand out, seal the deal and take any risk outta it for your buyer. Honoring the warranty is what helped propel the Sea Doo ahead in sales vs Kawai's Jet Ski some years back when they BOTH offered only mediocre stuff. Bombardier offered dealer installed performance upgrades,, and then covered grenaded engines under warranty,, people went to Sea Doo, and never looked back. From the takes I've read in all the Rzr and SxS forums,, Polaris is backing their product with the warranty. The shaft snaps: Also several other ways the tranny may puke too. Consider the aluminum skid plate from Dragonfire. Rocks can dent your plastic stock skid plate deep enough and take out the Diff, crankcase and tranny. We do have rogue rocks that pop up at Dumont. Not trying to be an alarmist. Just trying to save everyone some grief.
  8. We're totally immersed in the Rzr s. Get the Polaris 5 year extended warranty if you haven't already. You have 6 months from the date of purchase to buy it. We paid $538, and it has paid us back in spades. Just replaced the tranny under warranty. 8 hours labor + cost of new trans,, all picked up by Polaris. They are being excellent about covering the warranty.
  9. Here's a video: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcwjlhBLnkY&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcwjlhBLnkY&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcwjlhBLnkY&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
  10. Waddya be serving this trip Jim?
  11. http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2010/01/d...rally_2010.html
  12. I just caught this thread. Sorry you guys we had it and we missed your post.
  13. Wicked golf carts has the best deal. http://www.wickedcarts.net/ I've used the cheapie COSTCOS and they are fine. But for a little more money ya get what ya pay for. Next time Trojans for us. They were about $99 last I checked for the 150's and I searched far and wide. Mention riverdavesplace.com.
  14. Grind them on the cost of the Extended warranty and consider purchasing it if you haven't already. It's already paid back for us double. These suckers are fun. Whodathunkit?
  15. Right on through to the China Date Ranch: http://www.chinaranch.com/
  16. As you were: I just counted 55 advertiser sections. UTV crap people say in the forum they pay $1300 a mo for the section and no one has disputed it or called them out on it. http://www.rzrforums.net/forums.php This cost was brought up because someone bitched they don't get a forum member discount, and the supporting vendors countered that it costs a lot to advertise/support there. So ya figure ya don't have the mailing, set up and publishing/printing costs,, if you can make it online,, you are making it big. I see now what so many Supporting Vendors are trying to set-up their own forums.
  17. It's all going on line. It'll shake out on line to who has the best layout thus attracting the best advertisers. I understand by reading in the threads on the rzr forum, the advertisers pay $1300 a month each to participate with their own section in the forums. Last I counted the advertisers had 25 sections, and have been there for almost 2 years so it must be effective for all involved. This in addition to banner ads and margin ads revenue, and membership subscriptions. PRC forums are the first to fall, they are changing their format due to heavy competition pressure from rzr forums. Just too slow and sleepy. Great people there, but lethargic activity.
  18. Yeah that about sums it up. Evidently owners have to really look over their Rzrs from time to time. The dealer service dept surea as hell won't. I'm not impressed at all with the service depts at the dealers. I understand they no longer pay very well and if ya pay peanuts,, ya get monkeys
  19. I agree, point taken,,, but let me plead my case to the DDR Jury. I just set up an account at Vimeo where ya can run any music ya want. I originally posted the video with "Higher" by Van Halen. You Tube silenced/deleted the music. Then I re-posted with Lost Plant Airmen's Hot Rod Lincoln,, You Tube Silenced/deleted that. Then I re-posted with Agent Orange pipeline,, You Tube deleted that soundtrack too and THEN told me my account is in Terms of use violation and may be deleted. So the camera has the music I used embedded in the video cameras program and I ran with that to get it posted. The posting was for our 3 graders class, so it worked well in that scenario. Hell, the 8 years old liked it. Hell, it's a Rzr, not a $150K Sand Limo. Check out this music, also embedded in the camera program approved for use on You Tube: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>By the way,, me driving my wifes S2000,, now that's gay: So I drive this (note the eagle globe and anchor): Semper Fi.
  20. Evidently the deals are legit judging by the takes here for sure. Perhaps the transactions are spread out for show content and viewer interest value, but some internet claims it's all fake are wrong and evidently is all on the level. Check out the Cobra episode. With out a doubt the most interesting: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG1P67nBxMs&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG1P67nBxMs&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG1P67nBxMs&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxItcLHDgcA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxItcLHDgcA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxItcLHDgcA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
  21. Dealer service mgr at AV Polaris told us last Tuesday the UMP though a better filter, may void the engine warranty and extended warranty. Word is by next year all new power plant and a air filtration system will be available in the Rzr's. Was really hoping to see more power with this intro. Our S in in for a grenaded transmission. Still no word back if the extended warranty will cover it. I see no reason why it shouldn't. It'll be a deal maker for future Polaris purchases whether or not it's covered s far as we're concerned. Polaris screwed it's watercraft owners,, they are quite capable of sticking it to it's customers and feeling good about it. Fun vehicles at good prices, but we're not up for any schenanigans with the warranty. Our S at Dumont: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Rzrs have their demons, and I think overall, the owners will tolerate what they are dealing with so far. But any more NEW mulligans show their ugly heads, and the company doesn't address them,, it could hurt Polaris.
  22. Great stuff in the campfire. Careful burning it in the house fireplace. Some of the fruitwoods will leave a brutal residue and smell.
