well, things are looking better for T-day . i finaly bought a OHMS Tester and checked all my electrical system in my Banshee and looks to be like my coil is bad :shocked2: . all i need now is a used coil by friday and hopefully be hauling a$$ on saturday

i wouldnt mess with a used one. it doesn't have to be a banshee coil. mine went bad and yamaha didn't have the right one so i bought one for a motorcycle, a little wire splicing and it still works great. i think it was only 30 bucks.

So during the Audioslave/ Taproot concert I went to last night, I decided to get into the mosh pit like I usually do. Actually I think I started this one :angry2: On the last song some dude must have had it out for me. As I came around past him he shoved me backwards pushing me hard to the floor. I hit the floor so hard I bruised the hell out of my a$$ and probably broke my right wrist. The way I landed I overextended my wrist backwards. Both my wrists are actually pretty messed up, but I think the left one is sprained really bad and I am pretty sure the right one is broke. :bash: I am going tonight to the hospital to get Xrays whenever duniemonkie gets home. I don't know what my exact plan is now for my TDay weekend, but I am still going regardless :angry2: I have serious duobts I can ride, hopefullt I can drive my rail if this wrist swelling goes down. Needless to say, I am pissed. I wish my wrists weren't so jacked up so I could have dealt with that a$$hole.

maybe its time to leave the moshing to the teanagers. thats going to screw up work too. i know how that feels. if your stuck at home at least you can watch judge judy, judge alex, judge joe brown, judge mathis,judge hatchett,and of course dr. phil. hope they are just sprained. a couple of cortisone shots and some tape and you will be wheeling around the dunes just fine. :angry:

well, i checked the cooling system this morning. full with no air in it to be found. i just put a new billet pump impeller in it. i guess i will pull the cover off and check the drive gear.

you banshee experts out there, do you have to purge the cooling system somehow after putting on a cool head? i took mine out a while ago after doing the top end just for a few mile brake in run and it was fine. i took it out today and ran maybe 8 or 9 miles and coming back it was kinda uphill and it started running like it was hot. it didnt boil over or anything. it may be something else but i know that feeling when the motor tightens up. i shut it down. let me hear it from you experts out there.

what about the gasket at the bottom of the cylinder where the case meets the cylinder... i can see that leaking and gettin water in to the crank case.. since its below the piston it would leak directly into the case.. hmmmm forgot about that one...

you dont get it. the trans case with oil in it is not the crankcase. they are separate like bert said. water in the crankcase wont go into the trans case unless there are serious seal or gasket issues. of course then i think it would really run like crap too. if at all.

Dammm! both my quads are down. my Tecate 4 is getting done from the ground up and i wont see it till after T-day. my Banshee has an electrical problem (guessing stator) that needs to get fixed by next friday if not i better figure something out , dont want to be left out.

electrical problems suck. i had one a couple years ago with my warrior. out of the blue it wouldnt start. put a used cdi box on and it fired right up. went to take it out that weekend end and same problem. the local dealer helped me out and tried both cdi boxes on a used one they had there and it was no good. turns out my stator was bad and i guess caused the cdi to go out. i checked the stator with an ohmeter and compared it with a known good one on another warrior to confirm it was bad. maybe your local dealer can at least check your cdi box to make sure its not that.

between race and pump shouldnt matter... but between pump and say alky it might matter...

depends on the type of race gas. some have alot more oxygen in them. may make a difference.

I forgot to add that one of the girls at work gave me her collection of burned songs from system of a down-new and old songs which i will pop in the player and listen to for a while.too bad she got fired for threatening to kill one of her fellow co-workers.

ya, mike knows his sh*t. he's been messing with those motors before they made there way into the banshee. he showed me a cool little port trick drilling holes into the transfer ports. did he do your porting? i did my own with one of those sport port template kits from race logic. a saturday afternoon and some patience and it worked out great. let me know if you want to ride this weekend. im definitely taking mine out to get some time on the motor.

SNORE needs volunteers to work in the timing trailer to keep official time of all the race vehicles for next seasons races. they need 3 people for each race and are goint to pay 125$ for each person, each race. if you want to get involved with SNORE this may be a good way to do it.

YFZBOB.....I saw that motorhome at the RV show in Pomona, Ca. last year. The price on that amfibious motorhome was $1,000,000........it was awesome. Drives on land with no problem, then drive down a launch ramp and switch over to the marine motor in it..................

i saw that thing on the travel channel on million dollar motor homes. it is way cool. only takes a few minutes to pull out the pontoons and air them up. it has a separate pto on the motor for the prop so he switches from wheel drive to prop drive without skipping a beat.

dont waste your time putting a busa in a banshee frame,a big stroker banshee will whoop it.Streetbike quads have a miserable time off the line,and by the time the motor revs up the race is over.The one at Banshee wars is a built turboed nitrous bike and lost to a banshee.They were running the sam mph but it couldnt hang with the banshee off the line.Not to mention there probably isnt a hill on the planet big enough for a busa quad to reach its top speed.im serious though i want to help you all get your yfz's up to par.

i hear ya. i went to the sand drags at primm earlier this year and saw a busa powered banshee waiting in line to run. i was excited to see how it did and yes it got killed off the line.

bring it out here for your breakin. i redid the motor on my banshee and need to get some hours on it also. i put a noss cool head on, ported the cylinders, new clutch, did away with the air box and just running dual k and n filters with outerwears. put in 340 jets. i took it out for about a half hour before i had back surgery and havn't been out since. im ready to ride. we ride right from the house here out to the desert. i live in henderson next to black mountain.

getting an early start to SNORE racing. the guy im racing with, his name is rich, decided to race in the terrible 400 dec. 3rd. he said im gonna ride with him and switch off driving. he's gonna try and get the car ready this week and i suggested he bring the car out here to the eldorado valley for testing. he liked that idea. so next weekend if anyone wants to take the quads out with us it should be a good ride.

What we mean by window cleaner is that PURE GRAIN ALCOHOL.. that stuff that distillery's use in thier pooty drinks... a buddy of mine (Wrench) had a buddy that used to drive a tanker for bartles and james or something like that.. and the siphoned off a 1 gallon jug of this stuff... and man... its WICKED... A lady in our camp.. took a CAPFULL like a bleach bottle cap full and put it in her mixed drink.. she had 2 of those and was OUT... done gone wasnt moving her... in fact there were some douche bags launching fireworks near by and one flew RIGHT past her and blew up in camp... and she didnt budge... it was great.. she had a hangover for the next 2 or 3 days if memory serves me right... some good stuff i tell ya..

dont forget about a can of soup. that sh*t blows up too if it sits in the fire long enough

i hooked up with a guy that just moved here in august and raced SNORE this year for the first time in the 5/1600 class. im going to be his co driver for next years season. im going to help him on his car and he offered to help me in building mine because i have a bug which i plan to do the same thing with. he is going to bring it out here for testing in the eldorado valley where SNORE races. im going to meet with him some more this week. im sure we are going to need pit help next season. im looking forward to it. SNORE has some great people involved and it should be a fun experiance.
