  9. if anyone wants to be a part of the biggest off road race of the year let me know. we need volunteers to work at the race. its pretty exciting right in the thick of things on the race course. check out the race info at snoreracing.net. there will be alot going on prior to the race including time trials and partys on freemont street.
  10. steves number is 505. its an orange class 5 car. he used to be SNORE's race director. i will be riding with the prez, don wall in the number 1607 car for the mint. i think its going to be a bit brutal but i cant wait.
  11. wanted to go but just didn't work out. but we just had our SNORE race there last month, 11 miles and we jumped the needles highway both ways like SCORE used to do. would have liked to see the leap. oh well. come to primm next month for the battle at primm. gonna be some awsome racing.
  12. i hope to met, i mean meet you someday at the dunes too. my dad lives in la habra
  13. like otis said, adjust the cable first. line up that arrow on the case with the one on the clutch lever. make sure you have a little play in the lever on the handle bars.
  14. we had a 250 for a few years. a real dog in the sand. sold it and found a scrambler 400 4x4 that needed work cheap. great for my wife. climbs any dune and is pretty fast. she has never gotten stuck. i wouldnt waste any money upgrading the trailblazer.
  15. we actually made it out again. been a while. not since a day trip back in january i think. just me an the wife, :angry2: no grandkid. great weekend. nothing broke. got some good rides in. missed my banshee. never got around to fixing it from last year but the kfx700 sure ran good. i dont care what anyone says, its a fun quad to ride. camped with my buddy vince and a friend with his family i know from SNORE. he had an S10 set up pretty good with an LS1 and king shocks all around. it duned pretty damn good. i need to get my damn LUV truck back out there. im ready for an off weekend trip without all the noise and smooth sand. sh*t! i must be getting old.
  16. i sold a couple of vintage bikes on ebay. one to a guy in australia that raced a vintage bike class. might give it a try.
  17. glad you got yours running good. mine has been sitting since last halloween. kept fouling the plug in the right cylinder. been to lazy to mess with it. hope to see ya on halloween weekend. my 3 other bikes are running good so i will just bring them.
  18. we used to go to the air show at ellington airforce base in houston many years ago. the harrier put on the best show i ever saw. what an impressive airplane. it was so cool it gave me goosebumps watching. had to be there to appreciate.
  19. freecycle.org. i have gotten rid of some stuff instead of throwing it away and have recieved some stuff like clothes, dvd and vhs movies, a big a$$ trampoline for the grandkid, a tv for our bedroom, etc. all free. worth a look.
  20. all the info on these projects is at http://www.geocommunicator.gov. the government has put alternative energy on the fast track. they created a special department at the blm to ram rod all these projects through. the nextlight project is going to be behind the powerplant at primm. there are applications all over our area for solar including boulder city, jean, apex and others. i was at one of the public meetings for the nextlight project and the company couldnt even say who was going to get the power they were going to produce but admitted that the location they are applying for is the only one with no backup location. whats that tell you? they are going to get their way. they are using nevada because its cheaper to develop here, probably going to sell the power to california and use our water to clean the solar panels twice a year. i dont see what nevada gets out of the deal hence the protest at harry reids office because he is pushing for this stuff.
  21. ditto. did sand hollow the last two labor days. i bring the quads and a friend brings the boat. i am going to do alot more riding this year though.
  22. thats gonna change though. they rammed that proposition through that we all fought a while back.
