  1. Well they definitely still happen. Myself and a few friends had the itch so we rolled out with our four wheelers last night. On the way out we see banshee hill all lit up. There were a lot of people out the with drag quads. None of them seemed overly friendly nor would give much information on who sets it up or were to go to get information. There were some FAST banshees out there, and they say they do it about 4 times every summer.
  2. well at this point we are beyond frustrated. We are at the point where we are going to cut off that back housing and have the protodie kit welded in. We REALLY didn't want to do this. We have been do the bearing warehouses and searched the crap out of the internet. What we know is... the inner diameter of the bearing needs to be 1 3/8" or 1.375 (this is the size of the shafts from both protodie and gear one). the outer diameter of the bearing in order to fit in what we have on the car would need to be 68mm or 2.677", for the life of me i cannot find this size bearing. Any help is appreciated.
  3. What size bearing are you guys using and where can I get them?
  4. Thank you gentlemen! I think I'm going to be able to get what i need from protodie. But please if someone has a better solution I am all ears.
  5. My close friend recently purchase a project rail. The frame was made by short sand cars The main thing we need help with locating is the center drive or live axle. we have looked at the Protodie and the gear ones. The only issues is that we don't know enough about them to order it and be confident that it will fit. we are not fabricators, but do have friends that are very experienced at fabricating, we just don't want to cut and weld if we do not have to. does anyone know of anyone in town that can either build what we need? or does anyone know who we can order a plug and play kit from? the center drive will be set up for 930's and will have the disc brake mounted to it. Any help is appreciated.
  6. What a cool trip. Myself and the guys I was with look forward to the future trips. This one motivated us to go home and get the rest of the toys ready. Everyone out there was super cool and we didn't feel like outcasts even with it being our first time out with the Dumont Dune Riders. The dunes were perfect. The trip is about all any of us are still talking about on our end. The pictures from Pete couldn't be better! Thanks for a good trip!
  7. any word on a day and time yet? I'm hoping to make it out.
