  1. don't most ATV sand tires recommended 5psi or less? take a look at you side wall. i run 2.5-3 psi front and 3 psi rear on the quad. i run my mini truck 8psi front and 6-7 rear. i run my suburban 8psi on all corner, but i have rolled some tires off the bead with the big tank. and i run my bike on flats half the time. i start the bike out at 2psi front and rear but before the end of the weekend there just flat.
  2. thats me. we should be camped to the left of the bowl somewhere
  3. cool i will keep an eye out for the yz in you sign. i will try and make the 2pm meat and great. i never know exactly were we will camp. here's a pic of my bike flag me down if you see me its probably the only 06 running conventional forks. ok its a 98 with 06 body work. names Bob
  4. I'm game when and where I'm heading up in the morning on the 26th as for the turkey i just got to eat it and have no part of the cooking
  5. no that could be bad. i would hate to throw my gun down in the sand. and i really don't want some trigger happy law dog shooting me. hopefully it never happens.
  6. some time ago we had a rail stolen from camp. we parked in a circle and would pull a tuck into the opening so nothing could fit out of the circle. by the look of the marks the thief’s put the rail on its side and squeezed it past a small opening then carried it out. it was a super light old school beam rail. We have always been very careful after this happened. I like to use a wire coming of my bike to the sand and the over to my camper. I then cover the wire in the sand. This is on top of a lock. If some unexpecting thief starts to push off my bike it will tug on the camper and I can run out loaded revolver in hand. The only bad thing is when someone from camp is messing around and shakes the camper they also get met with the loaded revolver. I have also become a very light sleeper at the dunes. And having dogs in the camp helps too.
  7. e85 is good fuel with about 103 octane but it will require a increase in fuel flow. im running it in my turbo car @ 14psi and it works great. my bike is running VP q16 IMO its the best fuel money can buy for us running high compression or high boost #'s. its $13.50 a gallon and worth every penny. i was running c16 and picked up 4hp going to q16 properly tuned(ended up going up 3 pilot an 5 main sizes for jetting). with only a 0.4 liter bike that's a lot. i have 16.5:1 compression and experienced detonation with c12. it sounds like the 110 at razor rd services is a good deal at should work for 85% of duners.
  8. sound like a typical banshee to me. have you ever seen how hard the dunes are to a 125 smoker? then someone decided to put 2 together for a dune quad i had a bike that would run great in hedo but burn up as soon as it got off the trailer in dumont. i burned it up 4 times and finely found out it had a small air leak in the crank case. it did not affect it at home and i would ride the crap out of it at home and then smoke it with in minutes at the dunes. that's probably the biggest problem.
  9. it got better at the end. they seemed to behaving fun but the jumps where week. its sad when some big name pro's are only jumping stuff my fat 280lbs but will jump. no big gaps, dune to dunes or anything. overall i was disappointed too.
  10. weekend of will be the first trip of the season for my family. and this will be my kids first Halloween @ dumont. we will probably just drive them around in the suburban to trick or treat. how many kid do you all get trick or treating? i need to know how much candy to bring.
  11. yes. and i would love to see some pics
  12. thank for getting pics of my car like always it was a good event. i think Bert and Jeff got robed they did killer burn outs better than my little 4 banger. the white pinto is my dad and he did a killer burn out. i feel he deserved 1st but Bert and Jeff should have got in the top 4. i dropped a cylinder and did my last burn out a 3 cylinders. pic of my car to refresh your memories. its from last year when it won. i think i lost the crowd a little taking the stock wheels and hub cap off
