  1. How would you add an additional panel? Would you have to pull another wire into the hauler, or can you "daisy chain" the wiring from one panel to another?

I'd like to consider adding one panel to my existing setup.

I like your comment "I carefully measured about 129 times and went for it. 🤣

  2. I was stopped on President's Day 2019. The inspector looked at the wood carefully and even pulled a piece out🧐. He eventually said to carry on. I didn't ask what he was looking for, but my firewood was pre-scorched. Probably from a forest fire in Utah. Maybe he was looking for an invasive species like the bark beetle....

  3. I don't know if this has been posted already. I looked long and hard, but couldn't find it. A close friend had his F-250 stolen at home sometime between Sunday 11/25 and Monday morning at 4am. This was in the Warm Springs and Racetrack Rd area. Nevada license plate number is 934 PBK. Hoping for a miracle at this point.

  5. We've sold off our quads just recently like most others have mentioned. I'm trying to sell the low-travel sandrail now to upgrade to a side-by-side. When they first came out I was unimpressed, but now they've developed into something nice.

We'll get more year round riding in with the side-by-side. Sand, desert and trail riding will be a viable option for us.

  6. long time no see Gerald!

Yes. It's been awhile. Looking forward to the dunes after joining "Club Titanium" 3 years ago.

FYI - I called the Barstow BLM office and the "BLM Free Days" do not apply to Dumont. Perhaps Dumont fits into the overnight camping category. I don't know.

Site standard amenity and individual day-use fees at BLM recreation sites and areas will be waived for the specified dates. Other fees, such as overnight camping, cabin rentals, and group day use, will remain in effect.

  7. Can't make vets day this year but as a reminder the vets weekend is usually a free, no pass required weekend.

yes last few years were free I believe.

hopefully it's a little less crowded and smooth sand!

Is this true? Can anyone verify? I'll be out for the first time in a while.

  8. However having never claimed to be mechanically inclined it costs bucks either way...

You got that right. I've been running my little sandsprite 6 for almost 7 seasons now and it isn't cheap, but it was paid for before it hit the sand. I keep dreaming about the upgrade to a nice mid-engine 2 seat LT like Randogs or yours, however, life keeps getting in the way. :dunno:

Every dog has his day though...and until then I'll be cruisin' my little 2 seater in style with a grin from ear to ear. :driver::beercheers:

I love watching the big rails run...and it'll be nice to have more company if there are more VW's.

  9. I was pulled over a couple of years ago by NHP and was warned that I needed a J endorsement due to my GVCWR (?) being over 10,000 lbs.

I was travelling past the Tecopa turn off on Monday and two trailers in front of me made Tecopa turn-off. I go through Shoshone myself to dump in Pahrump. The Sheriff was waiting at the turn off and almost hit the second trailer trying to flip a quick u-turn to chase down the first. He went from sitting to throwing on the lights into full "Starsky and Hutch" mode. I was wondering what that was all about.

Best I could figure is it was Tecopa and their usual griping about duners travelling through, so the harrassment must be starting up. I stopped going that way when I found a nice trailer park to dump in Pahrump.

  10. Nice thread! :old:

    Mine are:

    1. Time with friends and family....especially by the fire after the riding is done and the :old: begins! :peeps:

    2. Virgin sand...especially hearing the paddles "zip"

    3. Seeing everyone happy and well. :old:

    4. No clocks and no work. :beercheers:

    5. Riding with friends and family....that's one I like the most.
