Thanks Trav!, its going together pretty smooth so far actually (knock on wood). hope it stays that way! need to grab the wheels/tires still, and some odds and ends, probably a trip to mcfadden-dale to pay way to much for some new "cleaner" looking fastener, but it should be ready for a test drive pretty soon.

haha, your right, once it fires you get a second wind and get excited all over again! came home tonight and decided to make up a "header" for it, now that the exhaust is going under i will build a baffle for it so it stops sounding like a tractor. lol

ughh that sucks!! i have had 5 cars broken into, and 1 car stolen, but never had my house broken into (knock on wood), i can only imagine how you are feeling! I hope you find your things! Craiglist is a good idea sure would be nice to call the guy and schedule a meeting time to kick his a$$ (and get your stuff back) !

yup, what pete said lol......however the plug from the indicator wires fits and has the wires in the right positions, so i cut it off the indicator harness and i am going to use it as a "pigtail" to wire in the cdi to the motor wires. I DONT KNOW IF IT WORKS YET THOUGH, SINCE I HAVENT ACTUALLY STARTED THE MOTOR! LOL so its not a guaranteed idea yet! I will let you know soon though. I just got finished mounting the coil behind the motor where the battery and start solenoid are, and now i am about to mount up the reg. and the cdi to the backbone under the tank. then its time to start soldering and heat shrinking the engine wires to the controls.

mounted and wired in the battery, and starter solenoid tonight. Set the motor in the frame, hit the solenoid and it rolls, so i am chippin away at it. tomorrow, cdi, regulator, and coil, and then start in on the exhaust. Wednesday the goodies from DRATV arrive and its time to fire this thing up!

just a TTT post and reminder. The regatta is coming up fast as everyone is totally aware of i am sure! So Dunefreak and I met up today for a little "pow-wow" to see where things are with supplies, and raffle, and what items we still need to take care of. Things are coming together pretty well, one thing that we really need is for folks to get registered asap, the dealine for getting shirts ordered is just a few days away!! Pleeeaasse get your registration in. The more knowledge there is about who is attending the better prepared the event can be, and the better prepared Smokin Al can be to feed us! lol, and preregistration helps tremendously! Plus, that way your event "packet" (shirts, rules, schedule and such) can be ready before the event and that will make the whole process go much smoother at the registration booth on saturday, just sign in and get festivities underway! i actually used it on my other hauler and it worked just as well.
