  1. I got ITP paddles and ITP wheels for the Raptor and ITP Paddles and STI wheels for the Outlaw. I had issues with the Outlaw when I road it more on the right rear tire. My nephew also had an issue when we went to dumont same tire. We had to ride back from past Comp hill to the truck on the flat. I got a brand new ITP paddle for the Outlaw after the flat at Dumont. We just got back from our trip to Oregon. On our first trip to the Dunes the raptor got a right rear flat, took it in to a tire shop for a clean and seal. Trip two for the coast tire was going low, next day it was flat.

I am tired of having flat issues. I was running them at 4psi, but started keeping them to 5. My GF rides the Outlaw mostly now, but when the raptor went flat i rode it. I ride much harder then she does. The tire shop said "if you ride the dunes your going to get the flats." I think that's BS. My nephew has run Skat~Trak for years and they have been fine. He doesn't ride as hard though either.

I am thinking I will try the Skat~Trak next time but what do you run, like, hate?

I've had skat traks on mine for 3 years without a single problem. I know a lot of the other guys on here run skat traks as well with equal success as myself.

  2. I don't think I will be bringing my hauler or sandcar. My generator is having issues once again and I don't feel like dealing with all that in this heat.

I'm down to roll out EARLY Sun AM though with the quad. That would be the 14th. I'm pretty sure Chadwick is in too. Maybe I can round up Sand_700R and sandslug for this ride as well.

Yeah you can count me in as well. :headbang1:

  3. I was wondering when this thread would come up. Last few weeks I have been spending considerable time at the pool while cooking some good food on the grill. :cocktail: Been gearing up my rifle and other guns for the soon to be "zombie apocalypse" and doing lots of shooting at the various gun ranges here in town. :guns::laughing: Good thing is that next weekend is my family reunion and being that it's in Koosharem Utah (high of 80 degrees) I will actually get to do some riding in one of my favorite spots. It is so beautiful up there and I have not been in over a year so I'm looking for to it. You all should look into going there during the summer months. Other than that the summer has been mild so far considering we have not hit 110 temps yet otherwise I would be one very angry person right now. :pissed: :pissed:

Summer is my least favorite time of the year. My job requires that I have to get up in attics during the peak hours of the day and when temps are 110+ outside that means it reaches about 150 in the attic. Besides Vegas winters are perfect and very comfortable to me. Looking forward to dune season obviously and I have to admit that it seems to approach pretty darn fast every summer. :ban-split:

  4. You guys all missed a good time if you didn't show up. We met up at the last gas station before Potosi and got into Dumont about 6:15 AM :dayum: Those dunes looked beautiful with the sunrise coming over the top of them. We unloaded quickly and started up the bikes and cruised out. By 6:30 we were shredding some sand. The dunes were untouched and technical. Combined with both sharp razors and soft sand we kept it slower than normal. Had to be careful as there were some nasty drop offs that couldn't be seen until you were right on top of them. We rode out to the :northpole: parked for about 1 minute to catch our breath then headed back the other direction. While getting some pics of Pete jumping his bike I noticed that his bike had gotten a whole lot louder for some reason. It was then that Pete noticed that the can from his pipe had fallen off into the sand. He put it back on and we headed back to the truck where he rigged it up with a cargo strap. So out we headed for a couple of more runs through the sand. As the day was getting later we really had to tame it down because the sun was extremely bright and made it very difficult to see. There were a couple of times I was glad that Pete was leading cause I couldn't see a damn thing. :ahhhhh: About 10:30 or 11:00 AM duners started showing up for the night drags. We went on one more run and then packed it up and headed home. It was a great sand fix and I hope it will last until the start of next season. Pete has some pics on his camera's and I'm sure he will be loading them up very soon.
