  1. dammit just watched...lol
  2. not uh mines faster. lol ya Pete I hear ya, I say we just have a "meet n ride" the best part of the weekend is just hanging out all the DDR peeps, met a lot of good people.
  3. oh really? that's a bummer... haha I just carry a gallon, I think it would be awesome and I'm going to attempt it this season!
  4. Looks awesome steve! that's definitely ok my list of places to check out.
  5. if it can't be done oh well Pete don't stress. let's just dune the 70's to the north pole lol. we can all just invade Glamis and represent at their regatta ha!
  6. lol! getting married ain't cheap! unless you do it in comp hill haha
  7. lmao! I would totally be in the seat doing that. ya Iv been getting some dual sports in so I'm good, but I think that last season ended earlier than normal with the baby I'm just more amped!
  8. haha that's true! usually it's by working on one of the toys, but I was just chillin with Ellie and it hit me.
  9. but I got really excited about dune season today lol. it happens every year but I try to not think about it until sept at least! maybe it's because I got a new truck, hauler, built the 70, and this will be my daughters first year in the dunes... so that's it I'm ready to dune and see the people of DDR I don't get to see much!
  10. ok we have been calling Paul Cooks office and they are trying to delete the two measures for feet on the floor and adding the fourth seat. they are also going to rewrite the helmet law and if you have 5 pt you shouldn't need one as it will greatly reduce your field of vision so we shall see....
  11. lol ya I need my ugliest trophy!!! Not at all Pete we all appreciate what you and I know it's a PITA to get permits nowadays... Presale shirts only?
  12. looks like they will go off the VIN do saying your over 1000cc's won't get you out of it... ya that's what I'm against, they're taking the fun away from kids and keeping family's from going riding together.
  13. ya ya!!! can't wait got the 70 going with new big motor and can't wait to race!
  14. ok I think this bill might get thrown out. with it being so specific about the feet on the floor back against the back of the seat it might get thrown...but we will see. my buddy's wife is only 5'1 and can't reach the floor and handle.... I'm sticking with over 1000cc's. it doesn't say "cc by manufacturer" I think BLM will only enforce if your being an idiot and unsafe....let's hope.
  15. Exactly Jodi! that's why it's BS the only reason I got the rhino so we could cruise around with my daughter. guess she can't ride in the car either because she can't touch the floor... it's reductions.
  16. lol we were talking about handle bars or a Brody knob lol and steve if I do a "custom built" the DMV will issue me a new VIN
  17. it will be a "custom built" and manufactured for 4 seats and has a 1100cc engine. just has rhino plastics. the worst part is I actually wore a helmet while driving it before. and when your harnessed in your field of vision is drastically reduced. which IMO is more dangerous. it's funny how if you have a more powerful engine you don't need a helmet lol.
  18. the 1000cc's but it has a steering wheel and greater speed that 30mph. not sure if one overrides the other or not... can you inane BLM chasing every SxS and rail with no helmet? lol
  19. ya I know i just didn't see it here and wanted to share. ya it's going to be a pain in the a$$ to enforce...I'm thinking of registering my rhino as a "custom built" and then they can say anything. it's just something else to try and take away more freedoms...
  20. not sure if anyone heard about this but it will affect most duners. Sandcars, jeeps, jeep like vehicles, and SxS's... it will require all passengers to wear helmets and passengers must be able to have feet flat on the floor and be able to reach grab handles... and no modified 4 seat SxS's. hopefully someone smarter than me can start a petition or maybe something has already starting happening to fight it. just thought I'd bring to attention [ Approved by Governor July 24, 2012. Filed with Secretary of State July 24, 2012. ] LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 1595, Cook. Vehicles: recreational off-highway vehicles. (1) Existing law establishes rules for the operation of, and requirements for equipment of, an off-highway vehicle. A violation of these rules and requirements is a crime. This bill would define an off-highway motor vehicle to include a recreational off-highway vehicle, as defined. The bill would establish additional requirements governing the operation of a recreational off-highway vehicle. Because a violation of these provisions is a crime, this bill would impose a state-mandated local program. (2) The California Constitution requires the state to reimburse local agencies and school districts for certain costs mandated by the state. Statutory provisions establish procedures for making that reimbursement. This bill would provide that no reimbursement is required by this act for a specified reason.
