  1. Parting it will be almost as much work as building it and not nearly as satisfying. Only build if you want to keep another one in the stable. Or pass the project on to Brice. How's the Talking Heads thing going?

Brice is working on it with me and we took a closer look at straightening it.... I couldn't do it and have a clean conscience (freaking ethics always getting in the way) hence the post... As far as Talking Headz goes.... I got 50 helmets in, 30 headset kits, and all licences / permits, just waiting on logo stickers and business cards..... WTF, starting a legit business sux ballz!!

  2. So, I got a hold of an '06 Raptor 700 (including title) that took a bit of a tumble down a hill....bent axle, steering stem, radiator, rear wheels, both headlights, and upper rails on the frame. My initial intentions were to rebuild and flip it. I have most parts in my garage except the frame. After watching eBay and some Raptor forums, looking for a frame, I have some reservations of continuing... my return would be higher if i just parted it out, although I was looking forward to the project.

So do I take a loss and enjoy the build or part it out and enjoy the cash?? Suggestions??

  3. I spoke with TJ this AM.....he is most likely going to D for New Years.... If he could get paid then it would solidify his plans. If you would like to speak with him, shoot me a PM and I will give you his personal cell#.

  4. TJ from Butches Speed Shop will be coming out to Dumont to tune rails on Sat & possibly Sun (Nov 13th and 14th), so far we have mine and 3 others scheduled for Sat. He seems to think it will go pretty fast and "If he has time" after wards he might be willing to take some "walk-ins" (they would be on a case by case basis due to available parts) basic set up is $250 plus parts, if he has to open up cans for then it is $35 per can. We will be camping in area B-7 on the DDR grid map.

  5. It is amazing how obvious it is, yet the general population keeps voting in politicians with agendas contrary to our constitution and the beliefs of our founding fathers that have made this country great! I am saddened by the thought of how our future generations will look back at us and wonder why we were so gullible :undecided:

  6. OK, I don't get on here and gripe about much, but.... In Morgan Hills California, 3 kids were sent home from school with unexcused absences because they refused to turn their shirts that bore American flags :freakin_nuts: inside-out on Cinco de Mayo..... School principal (who is Hispanic) said that it was disrespectful and disruptive for them to wear their patriotic American colors on a Mexican holiday. I mean no disrespect to the Hispanic community, I strongly believe that we ALL have the right to display our heritage pride....

  7. OK ,,I just spoke with Ed, He says he sorry about the delayed responce but he has been out of contact. He's going to be out at Dumont Saturday Apr. 17th. So if you guys can make it out then, Ed would like to hear from you and get a little info about your car/ set-up.

    Bud

Hey Bud....you gonna do just a day trip?? or a weekend??

  8. When I first got my car, it had 2" fox air shocks and I was impressed at how much they would absorb at low to medium speed n the whoops, but they would aways bottom out in the dunes so I adjusted up in the NTG and the ride went to shait.... my wife drives the car most of the time so safety is a major concern, if you blow out an air shock at a bad time, life will suck!!... I went with 2 1/2" King coilovers and once I got them dialed....it was probably th best 2 grand I spent on the car.....

  9. I went down to the DMV on Donovan in North Las Vegas and picked up the study material for the test and I was told that since I was driving a private "non-comercial" RV I didnt need to have the "J" endorsement. I asked the counter person to confirm the info with his supervisor. I explained what I was doing and that I was over the 10,000# limit for a towable vehicle and the Supervisor confirmed it. I asked a local PD officer and he said the same. I was always under the impression that I had to have one...... I got the supervisors name just incase I had t go to court for a ticket.
