I tow the same trailer as dunefreak with my 99 f250 crew cab short bed which has a 12" lift on 38's. Like they said, proper equipment and take your time.

Steve, you should look into Marysvale instead of Duck Creek. Hundreds of miles of trails. We are planning a trip up there for Labor Day weekend.

I machine rings that fit over the quick release hinge for Fords.

You have to unbolt (torx) the hinge to get the tailgate off.

Still a good idea to lock it but if you forget then can't just tilt and go.

I've done all 4 routes also. The Indian Springs route was an easy pull compared to the others. Took longer but less strain on tow vehicle. We usually run the Tecopa route as it is the quickest.

By 10 years old my Lil Bro-in-law Charlie aka CampChild was riding a banshee and tearing it up. It all goes down to experience and capability. He grew up riding and racing though. Hell my 9 year old son steals my LTR 450 and cruises it around camp and on the finger dune. Would I let him dune it?.... Probably not til he is a little older/bigger.

Services for Charles "Chuck" Fickes Jr. will be held Thursday February 7th at 10:00am at the Boulder City Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. He was taken away from us too soon and will be surely missed. Friend of mine just rebuilt his motor and went to get a dyno tune. Problem is his Mo Tec M4 ECU is the older one and needs a special cable Mo Tec #61092. Does anyone local to vegas have one we can borrow for a day and return. He is in a bind and would like to get it tuned. Was told it is lean.

Yeah, we were gonna do it but when we went over the line was hella long and we wouldn't have gotten on until after dark. Looked cool. Worth the $20 ea for the 4-5 min loop around the dunes.
