Ok thanks a lot. But which valves is it i need to adjust the intake or exhaust? Or both?

Iv never adjusted them before. My bike always ran good so i figured i might as well leave it be and not touch anything until i need to lol.

So i bought my 06 450 in 07 brand new and it has always ran perfect never had any problems with it always started 1st or 2nd kick. Iv always kept up with changing the oil and keeping everything in good condition. But a few months ago out of no where it started taking me about 20 kicks to get it started and every time iv started it since it seems to be getting harder and harder to start and its at the point now where it wont start at all unless i push start it. It seems to run fine once i get it started but it doesn't like to idle. I'm not sure if that's part of the problem or if i just have the idle screw turned down to much because iv honestly not even checked that yet. Iv looked up online and i guess a lot of people are saying it's most likely the valves or something but everyone else seems to have a different problem than i do so im not really sure what to think. Any ideas? Only upgrades iv done to the bike are slip on exhaust and jetted.

No my ktm is not. I actually will not have it at dumont this weekend its with a friend right now up in utah somewhere but i like the 450 for the dunes anyways so im not complaining

Ya its one of my favorite rides (other than dumont of course) It only takes about 35 mins to get up there so I can get some dune riding in before the trailer even gets there and we have to set up camp

Thats why you guys need to get the lady to drive the truck and trailer up there with your paddle tire and rim in the truck only takes 5 mins to swap rims once you get up there

me and a couple buddys are going to be riding are bikes to dumont from pahrump early friday morn was wondering if anyone else will be riding up there also?

ill be up there from thursday till sunday night, I cant wait to go up there iv been ordering parts for my bike left and right and its stuff i dont even need i ordered all new riding gear and a new helmet and idk why!For some reason waiting 3 days for something to get here in the mail makes me think halloween will get here faster but all its really doing is digging a deeper hole in my pocket so by the time halloween actually gets here i wont be able to afford the gas to get up there lol! ahh i need a thereapist or something im going crazy over here!

i just bought a yoshi rs2 slipon exhaust and a twin air filter for my 2006 crf450r and i was expecting some jetting info to come with the pipe but nothing so now i have really no idea what size of jets im going to need do i need a bigger main jet and pilot jet? i live in pahrump and only ride at dumont/desert not many places with higher altitudes the stock main jet size is a 165 and the pilot jet is a 42 so any ideas? thanks..

alright thanks i am in utah and my bike is in pahrump and figured i would pick up a chain before i head home but i had no idea what length the chain was thanks guys for the help

looking to get a new chain and was wondering what size i needed i think i need a 520 but what length do i need and should i get an o ring chain? iv always used o rings and they seem to work well but idk what do you guys think?

i just got rid of my 2008 kfx450 i hated it, the gearing in it was just dumb it seemed like it topped out at 60 so i tried changing the counter sprocket and ya it helped out a little bit but still it was not a bike worth having. every ride i found myself tapped out and still falling behind the group.

im buying a yoshi rs2 comp slip on for my 06 crf450 and am also replacing the stock air filter with a twin air filter and was wondering am i going to need to re jet my bike?

iv got a 06 crf450 and blew my front left fork seal and was wondering what the cost is to get fixed if i were to take it to a shop. Also should i get new seals in the other fork as well so there both fresh and should i take the forks off before i take them in or just drop the bike off at the shop and let them deal with it? I could also do it by myself if its not to hard and if i dont need special tools of some sort but whats the best option here?

Well me and my buddy are thinking about riding up to dumont from pahrump, we know theres a trail leading that way starting at the dry lake bed cause my dad has riddin it once or twice but he cant rememebr where it is...does anyone know any website or even some directions on how to find that trail? i tried google earth but it doesnt seem to be up to date so i cant find the trail anywhere.

thats the paddle i use on my 450 and its by far the best paddle if ever used the traction that it gives is just perfect. But then again i only weigh 130 pounds so im not sure how it will react with more weight.

who was out there new years weekend with that black cr500 and a crf450 i beat the 500 through the whoops part of the hill but when we got over to where there were no whoops he was walking all over me and same with that 450. just wondering if there part of dumont dune riders cause i wanted to know what was done to that 450? anyone know??

i would be there for the race but i really dont think it will be fair to any of you considering im on a crf450 dirtbike and only weigh 130 pounds

who ever has the biggest balls wins doesnty matter if your in the desert or up a hill if you have the guts to go balls out im sure you will win or maybe die :mc_smiley: . But if your not balls out i think ds will win through the desert and banshee i think up a hill. iv owned them both but never raced against eachother so i dont know.

well sh*t if you can jump a sandrail who needs a spotter but ya he still should of had a spotter. even though he probly did see you but thought it would be cool to jump over you

oh ya there were a lot of 2 wheelers out there this time but i never did lose to any of those cr500s they were weak out of the hole. but my weekend was going good till my chain snapped going up comp hill and locked up my bike sending me over the handle bars and braking my wrist well i knew i should have bought a new chain sooner.

a turbo yfz450 would not smoke a alchahol banshee with ease if it ever did beat one it would be cause the banshee blew his motor or something. i seen a yfz450 with a turbo on it holloween at banshee hill didnt stand a chance vs those banshees took to long for the turbo to kick in and once it did the banshee was already at the top of the hill.
