well i went to play out in the dirt with my truck that my dad bought me. its a 1998 f150, but regardless. while out there i hit a boulder and knocked my under-fender(sp?) or whatever its called, out. its gone in the desert. i also blew a tire( 33.5 BFG A/T's) and since i have offroading tires my spare isnt going to help any. i cracked my drivers side front fender and im really bummed. i would obviously never mean to do this to my dad, and make him pay money for this. If you know anywhere i can get some sort of deal or anything at all to help this situation. please let me know
thanks
Aric
is a FX model , the regular f-150's have metal fenders, I can get a deal through ford if that helps

correct. I have heard that as well. I don't think beadlock wheels are DOT approved. Stupid huh? They can hold up to extreme desert abuse but aren't approved for a paved road.
I actually asked a cop about it and the answer I got was " well if they are using those hi performance wheels, they are more likely to drive eratically on the public roadways and possibly cause an accident"
so with that being said ..i was like ...oh and walked away

i heard that its illegal to have true beadlocks on the street is that true?
Yep....doesnt make sense to me to this day but yep.. They will hold up a hell alot better than a non bead lock (D.O.T) wheel

yeah but will a cop really pull you over to see if they are beadlock or streetlock
They will!! I never got pulled over, I had them on mine for 2 years, but a friend of mine got pulled over twice , and got a fixit ticket to take them off..depends on the cop i guess most of them may not even know what they are to even care
