  1. I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - x2..Dead Battery..RIP

DEAD CELL in the battery x3 TRY E-BAY I got mine for my yfz delivered to the door $55 :ahhhhh:

  2. I used that 3M wheel when i debadged my truck... It works awsome!

Good tip on the wd40. I'm gonna try that when (if) i get around to removing the safety warnings plastered all over

Here is the opinion, I dont claim to be the formost expert in removig adhesive. How ever I do tend to base many of my opinions on common sense and experience. Here is my thoughts on this issue:

We are talking about removing adhesive from a plastic body panel not a metal one. I have no doubt that the wheel method is very effective on a metal car body, but what we are talking about is removing adhesive from plastic with a revolving wheel turning at 3600 rpm. This is more likely to damage the PLASTIC by causing HEAT and friction, then a can of fish oil with no heating or abrasive qualitys. :ahhhhh: Considering the material being worked on is as important as the product you are working on it with. Just my opinion...

  3. Hey Dave, ZIP TIE gun. Me still thinks it's the coolest.

Ya its not near as cool as Marks mirror though :ahhhhh: but it is readaly available!!!!

Whats going on with those doors on the RZR4

  4. That's nasty. I'll stick to the traditional method using fresh clean water. That grey water can stink after a long weekend.

And as for the fresh water capacity being more than what the black and grey can hold...I'd rather have 2 full holding tanks and still have some fresh water left to rinse off with the outdoor shower than no water at all.

I guess some people are a glass fresh water tank half empty and some are a half full kinda person the way they look at it. :rockwoot:

Well Pete ,then Technically isn't the water gray once it hits the ground after washing your a$$ with it?

    I'm just askin!!! JK

  5. i'm thinking of removing my stickers off my rzr any good advise on how to take them off? :DDRrocks:

I removed mine with a heat gun. just get the sticker hot not the plastic be very carefull

any additional adhesive left in the plastic use WD-40 to remove that..

Be REAL CAREFUL with that heat gun though :watching:

  6. I went to glamis when all you guys were kicking it at the regatta. I did not like it. Just like I don't like your gray water tank dumping wile I drive behind you on the road out. This has happened to me several times.

Oh and glamis was not fun. it was like the D. after it rains and 50,000 big as* cars rode it all night. crappy!

    RU :idiot::idiot:

  7. my amp quit working on me while driving the other day

testing showed that while power was hooked up, i was getting 1.4 volts at the + and- @ the amp, along with 12v @ the remote

but, if i unhooked the power, it would kick back up to 12v, which made me believe it was the amp

another amp I had was put in, but the power was doing the same thing

i checked the battery connection, it was good. its a 4 ga wire all the way back to the amp, it is not grounded anywhere that I can see, and the inline fuse looks good too

its crazy, the minute i plug it in to the amp, the voltage drops

    could it be my ground?

I am running the stock deck on my dmax, with a hi lo converter and rca's running back to the amp too..those give a signal

    WTF is wrong?

    thanks

You are most likely correct and the the right track, if both amps are acting the same way and the power source is solid. Trace the ground make sure it is attached to Raw (unpainted) metal. make sure at the connections on the amp, you do not have any stragler wires sticking out of the lugs and are touching each other even 1 strand of wire neg to pos will cause you problems.

The rca's are a low voltage signal, Im pretty sure they are not your issue. This sure sound like a ground issue to me. Hope this helps :flipoff:

  8. I am glad you posted this. Lou B was telling me about this last weekend and I could not remember the name of the race. Looks bad arse. I will have to check it out next time around. :thumb:

DDR members should get together and plan a trip down next year

It would be a great prequil to Presidents Day 2011 Anyone intrested in such a trip? :peeps: :peeps: :peeps: :peeps: :peeps: :peeps: :peeps: :ahhhhh:

  9. Where in the world do they hold those races at. King of the Hammers looks like a great spectater sport. :ahhhhh:

They hold it somewhere between barstow and victorville I can find out exactly where

I do know I am going to make plans to next year. It is a race and this is just a small part of the course. there are sections where they haul some serious a$$ also. Ill get more details and share as soon as I know when and where the next one is held :peeps:

  10. Hope your friend plans to fight these tickets!! They write those tickets with the expectation that people are just going to pay them and not show up to court.

I'm surprised they were smart enough to use the 'your vehicle matches the description of' excuse to justify the stop and the search :shake: . A lot of people don't know their rights when it comes to vehicle and personal searches.

    Automobile Exception

The automobile exception says that if police have probable cause to believe that a vehicle contains contraband or evidence of a crime, they can search the vehicle without a warrant. Similarly, if an officer has probable cause to believe that the automobile itself is contraband (i.e. a vehicle used for transporting cocaine), the officer can search and seize the automobile without a warrant.

    Scope of Search

If police have probable cause to search the vehicle, the automobile exception gives them the right to search the "entire vehicle." This includes the trunk and all containers within the vehicle that might contain the object for which they have probable cause to believe exists. If the officer has probable cause to believe that a dead body is in the vehicle, the officer cannot search a tiny container (where a dead body clearly could not be). Notably, the passengers belongings might be searched as well under the automobile exception.

Probable Cause is defined as "the facts and circumstances within the arresting officer's knowledge are sufficient to warrant a prudent person to believe that a suspect has committed, is committing, or is about to commit a crime."

The problem is the Officer doesn't have to prove/justify what he claims his knowledge is...

    Did they weigh the trailer??

Just for general knowledge here is the NV laws....

NRS 484.755 "Any officer of the Nevada Highway Patrol having reason to believe that the weight of a vehicle and load is unlawful may require the driver to stop and submit to a weighing of the vehicle either by means of portable or stationary scales and may require that the vehicle be driven to the nearest public scales, if they are within 5 miles."

The fine is based on the amount of excessive weight per NRS 484.757, so how can they access the fine/write the ticket without the actual weight?? http://leg.state.nv.us/nrs/NRS-484.html#NRS484Sec755

From what I can find, the law is the same in CA.

Beer cans in a trash bag in the bed of a vehicle can not be considered open containers per NRS 484.448 "it is unlawful for a person to have an open container of an alcoholic beverage within the passenger area of a motor vehicle while the motor vehicle is upon a highway" “Passenger area” means that area of a vehicle which is designed for the seating of the driver or a passenger. http://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-484.html#NRS484Sec448

The law is the same in Cali.

Cali police citing for NV tint laws  , they can't enforce laws outside of their jursidiction and a veh registered in NV is not subject to the non-moving traffic laws in other states. But did they even use a meter to test the tint level?

In NV the level is “a total light transmission of not less than 35 percent with a tolerance of 7 percent” and all windows except the windshield can be tinted. The NRS is 484.619 and 484.6195 http://www.leg.state.nv.us/Nrs/NRS-484.html#NRS484Sec619

Wow!!! well said. Way to do your homework, you go girl !!!!! :ahhhhh: :thumb:

  11. My buddy went to this event before comming to D this weekend.

He said it was the coolest motorsport event he has ever attended

TOTAL CARNAGE... This is just a small part of this Race :ahhhhh: :thumb:

  12. Then use some smileys fugger! :laughoff::P:bowdown::assblast::laughing::flipoff:

I'm sticking with Mother G until some once in a hundred year wind storm hits The D. The couple of times I've been this year were hella torn up and rutted, atleast at G you can find tons of virgin sand, during a big weekend, not a month after. You've been, you know what I mean. :ban-split:

  13. This is total bullshit. I looked into this when I bought my trailer. There is a thread somewhere back in RV chat about endorsements.

In Nevada, we don't have non-commercial class A licenses. That would technically be a class B license I think. Regardless, NV has a J endorsement which allows you to tow over 10K.

I went to the DMV one day to get my J endorsement application and info because my trailer's GVW is up there like 14,950. She asked me what my trailer weighed empty and I told her it's like 9300 empty. She then said I don't need the endorsement because the unladen weight was under 10K. I explained that it weighes easily over 13/14K loaded and she said it didnt matter. I was pretty uneasy about leaving it at that and just taking her word for it. I still plan to go down to the DMV and get it one of these days.

I bet they just don't want duners going thru Tecopa because they got a bunch of complaints. I always do the speed limit through there. It's a highway and I'm not going to stop using it. I pay out the a$$ for registration fees therefore I'm using the damn road! :ahhhhh:

DITTO.... They can all :MBdance: Fortunatly for me I carry a commercial class A and Im with Vegas Style they better have a damn good reason to go piliging through my Rig before I hand over the keys. Ill play their game all GD day. Even go as far as let them tow my sh*t cause I have nothing to hide and everything to gain in a wrongful search and sesiure suit...Bring it on b*tches :thumb: It all really comes down to the fact that California is F'N broke and their doing everything they can do bring in revinue :usa:
