I love the free feeling I get when I'm sliding through a turn in virgin sand and it flows sooooo
smooth.
I love the rush I feel after a long hard ride with my buddies
I love the feel of the wind and sand in my face on a buggy ride
I love the sound of my turbo spooling over the sound of my heart trying to burst through chest on
a good buggy run.
I love to sit up on top of a dune and enjoy a cold one and just enjoy the beauty of mother nature
The one I love the most is the big smile on both of my kids face after a nice family dune run
Dumont has brought me many good friends and many good memories :mischevious:
Well said. That was awsome!!!

No apology necessary your comming through loud and clear.

Does anybody know how to get directv at Dumont? Which direction to point the dish and how hard is it to dial in directv out there? Thanks.
Its simple point your dish south west tword the gap to comp.
make sure your tripod (ground mount) or trailer (Tailer top mount) is level that part is very important.
Make sure you can hear the signal meter on your tv or have someone assist. move the dish left & right slowly till ya hit the signal. sounds tuff but really nothin to it
I bought a little signal meter on e bay that utilizes the power off the sat box cable for $5 and that helps alot You can buy the same meter at camp world for between $25-$30 :freakin_nuts: good luck
I have both mount locations and I find the ground mount the easiest

Too bad some misinterpreted the spirit of my thread.
It was to keep in the forefront, some of the issues that should be dealt with for safety and continued use of the Dunes by those of us that live for and love it. If these issues are not dealt with at some point.......Oh Well!
Negativity was the furthest thing in my mind from from someone that goes there 8-10 times a year!!
Check out the numbers of people that used go on the holiday weekends and now go on off weekends to avoid
the disrespectful, discourteous, thoughtless and unskilled duners.
Think of my thread as you wish but I know what I meant.
Please dont misunderstand the purpose of my thread. I was mearly celebrating our passion for the dunes .
Your post sir, was well received and understood on its merits

1 The antisipation of the next Dune Trip.
2 The gathering of good friends and the chance to make new ones. :peeps:
3 That first ride across virgin sand. :hatdance:
4 The sight of the youngsters riding in the sand and watching them jones for more.
5 The time around the camp fire sucking down the dos xx and tellin lies.
6 Competition hill at night with all the fires and loons racin up the hill in the dark.
7 The time away from the reality of bills and work. ( the real world) :foshizz:
8 Grillin in the desert & dutch oven cobler.
9 Screaming across the dunes on a long ride with all my boys in our RZR's
10 Thanksgiving in the sand with 10 -12 different family's version of turkey dinner..
Lets face it, I could go on and on about what is awsome about or obsession with the sand and Im sure everyone has their own version or ten reasons they love the sand. But no matter what your ten reasons are, this is our passion its what we live for. What could be better than a weekend in the SAND... A bad windy day in the sand is far better than a good day at work anyday. You have to learn to take the bad with the good. Your glass is either half full or half empty its your choice....

The great thing about advice is, you can take it or leave it.
However it is customary to give advice only when asked..

Ya thats definitly high....msrp is like $15,000 but like everything else for now its all about availability, If they have it and you want it bad enough you will pay there is an a$$ for every seat. When I bought my S I paid way too much $16,000 but I still love it and dont have any kind of buyers remorse. When I bought mine you were lucky to find the availibility let alone a good price..
