Wow, great pics and weekend reports. So very sad we missed it.... But, HotDamn, got my new engine installed over the weekend. Heading out to Dumont this Sunday and Monday to test the ride :-) Looks like all had an Awesome Weekend. While engine is in rebuild mode, I'm doing many upgrades to the rail. Looks like engine will be done this weekend My upgrades are almost done. Pulling POS engine and installing new engine this weekend Thanks again and have a great weekend :-) IrnBear

Not looking good for my Engine to be in by this weekend. My Good Buddy at DogHouse Repair here in Pahrump is doing an outstanding job of the rebuild. This will be the biggest VW engine I have ever owned. Phil is a kick ass engine builder and a Great Guy. (I know he has got some sh*t on here about a Closed New Year incident a few years back). Note: The VW bug that won first in the Pahrump 250 this past weekend, was powered by a DogHouse Phil build. Great racing Garey :-) Hope to make it out next weekend for a test run and then New Years. You all have a Great Buggy Roundup :-) Maybe next year for us. Thank you, IrnBear

I'm glad you got that BLM BullShit taken care of A friend of mine at work is a Crazy Long Distance Runner. She gathered with a group of her friends at the parking area of the Blue Diamond Rd (where the mountain biking is) (about 12 folks total). They planned to run a mile per year of her birthday.. That was going to be 34miles. (Did I say Crazy Long Distance Runner). Well, they only made it to 30miles. An F'ing BLM Ranger stopped them and Cited her (yes the BDay Girl) for having an unsanctioned event. She contacted friends ahead of time and arranged to meet and run. Attorney Friends were able to get it dropped. But, she was still F'ing Cited. So, every Meet-up group is in violation. Every one of you that contacts a buddy to meet and ride, run, walk or whatever is in violation. Every organizing a gathering of friends on sites like this is in violation. I used to ride with the M2W group, I would have to say that probably every one of their rides are in violation. I only say this as warning about the BS going on with the BLM. I read the rules of Sanctioned events. Very wide open to Cite whoever they want. It is BullShit and all depends on if the Ranger that day has a hair up his/he ass. It is very Sad IrnBear

Have the engine in tear down after it ran like sh*t over Halloween weekend. Hoping to have it done by this event. If so, we will be out there. I can't commit to camping in the same spot, I have an unpredictable dog that travels with us If it is OK, we will pop over and check on rides. If not, I understand. Thanks for posting this, Bradley

Howdy All, I have a 20ft Box trailer that I pull behind my Motorhome. At Home it also doubles as my Garage. I carry my VW based Sandrail in it. Standard Plywood Floors Question/Suggestions: What do you all use to cover your plywood floors? Linoleum? Paint? and if so, what Kind??? If Paint, will the paint work over oil stains on the wood??
