Repaired my Stainless steel sink

I left a rechargable spotloght on the side of my sink. The battery exploded and let the acid run into the sink.

It left a large burn mark and pitted the steel badly.

I took some 220 wet and dry sand paper and sanded it until nearly smooth. I then took some 400 wet and dry sandpaper and some Mothers metal polish as the lubricant and sanded it smooth. It really looked so good that I did the 400 and polish on the other sink too. They look really nice now.

Who'd a thunk???

Ok here's the pix!

Excccccuuuuuuuzzzzzzzeeeeeee me! :dunno::thumb:

I had a nasty black pitted place in the left sink by the drain. If you look real hard you can still see where it was. a little more sanding with the polish and presto it will be gone! :think:
