DunerDan Posted February 1, 2011 Share Posted February 1, 2011 well iv been trying to get my 70 going. it runs great for about 10 min with the choke on then will die. with choke of it will run to 1/4 throttle then bog out. checked double checked and triple checked the timing valves and dark is good. im thinking it's the carb....pretty gunned and I can't get it any cleaner. soooooo who wants to bring an extra stock carb for me to try? I am looking at points now a's I spin the flywheel I cannot see them openin and there is no gap, it's touching....guess I need new points I sure hope I can get it going by Saturday.... Island Chain Racing Posted February 1, 2011 Share Posted February 1, 2011 Sounds like the jets r clogged . Try and take the carb apart and blow the jets with some air or carc cleaner.
