80grit Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 How much psi of compression should a stock Banshee have? Ill check my manuel in the morning but i think its around 145 psi if it is completely stock. Quote
Don29palms Posted December 14, 2005 Author Posted December 14, 2005 My manual says Yamaha doesn't list specs but each cylinder should be within 10% of each other. One cylinder is 125 and one is 120 but is that enough? Quote

One cylinder is 125 and one is 120 but is that enough? Thats within 10% of each other. It sounds a snitch low but it sounds like the rings are wearing evenly on both cylnders. I read on Alba's web site that they like to shave the head and run there stock banshees at 155-160 psi. Most of my freinds running their ported, polished, and bored banshees run around 175 psi. But they are changing their dome size to get there. Ill call a freind today who knows this stuff inside and out and see where you should be on a complete stock banshee and repost tonite. Quote
EY3BA11 Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 i wannnnnna say in the 155 neigborhood but dont hold me to it Quote
80grit Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 I checked with my freind and he said stock banshee & stock head that has not been milled that 120-125 psi is where it should be...Not to worry Quote
